This looks like a good quality product, I will be using it as a freezer, set to -15C, to suplement a much larger ARB fridge on off-road camping tripsIts light, very quiet, and seems to be made out of robust materials. As with most fridge/ freezers the inside measured temperature is never as low as that displayed, but its holding a reasonable constant -13, which is good enough.Power loss/startup seems reliable, its happy with the 14.5 volt adapter and on a 13 volt battery, i haven't tried it on low voltage.Only two slight negative points, its not waterproof, the temp readout doesn’t say if it C or F, but that should be obvious and there are no handles or loops to secure it with cable lock.

Great fridge for the money.
It’s been running none stop since I got it a month ago, and haven’t had an issue. I use this in my day cab semi and has been such an upgrade from a traditional ice cooler. Set it on medium and it’ll run the battery to 11.5(single deep cycle in my Jeep) so don’t set it to low. I use the ac plug when it’s in my other vehicles while it sits. The packing it’s shipped in is like the alpicool, so you can use it for extra insulation. I cut out a rectangle for the display and covered the outside of the foam with roll on bed liner, then white plasti dip spray. Temp I run is 32, which is 35-6.Also let it sit for 6 hours before turning it on when you first get it.

My research paid off!
I have to say this was a great purchase. I did a lot of research on other freezers and the company that makes this freezer. I created spreadsheets comparing the features and finally choose this model even though there were no reviews on it. When I first opened the box I was impressed by the sturdy construction. I read other reviews on other brands that said the other freezers felt flimsy or not well constructed. I love camping, and yearly do an 8 day camping trip in the woods without grid electric. I wanted to have a freezer to maintain some food and some ice cream would be a bonus! I needed something that would use the least amount of power and give me the cold needed to keep ice cream frozen. While camping I have 3 deep cycle batteries, a couple solar panels and a small generator to top things off when the sun is not shining.I wanted to see what kind of load I would put on my batteries in a worse case scenario so I set the freezer on max and the temp to the lowest setting while plugged into my kill-o-watt. The initial load was only about 40 watts for a minute or so then settled down to 35 watts. Impressive! Not too mention the freezer was very quiet.I put an ice cube tray and water bottle in the freezer and watched the temp slowly drop occasionally checking inside until I had ice and the water bottle was almost frozen solid. I also tested the economy setting and it seemed to work just as well but only drew 30 watts. One thing is that once the temp you desire is reached, the freezer shuts off so your total power consumption drops greatly since it cycles itself as needed. I am figuring with a 50% duty cycle (on half the time/off half the time) it will use around 35 to 40 amp hours from my batteries. I have done some testing at home and the drain on the batteries was minimal and easy to replace with solar or generator. I also found that a small battery powered freezer fan helps the temp drop quicker and saves a small amount of load from my batteries. Can't wait to surprise my camping friends with an ice cream in the middle of a hot day camping in the woods!

Efficient + quiet = excellent
I need a frig with good temperature control, that's efficient enough that my UPS battery can run it for several days during a grid outage. This is great. It only takes about 125 watt hours per day, so it'll go 10+ days with my 1.3 kWh battery. This is using 110v AC power which my battery needs for UPS mode, it'd go longer using 12v DC.The compressor is quiet, just loud enough to notice when it goes on, but that's about it. Nice. The temperature display is way off. This might take it to a 4-star product, but it seems consistently off, so it's not too difficult to accommodate by lowering the thermostat. In my case where I want the frig to be about 40F, the display reads 6 to 7 degrees low. Another reviewer suggested this is because the thermometer is in the wall of the frig. Makes sense that that would cause a difference between the contents and the display. I checked the inside of my kitchen frig and it varies by up to 10 degrees depending where the thermometer is set. So maybe frig temp control generally is a bit tricky.I've only had the frig a couple of weeks. I run it 24/7, so we'll see about long-term reliability. Assuming it keeps going, this is a winner.

So far extremely pleased.
Is larger than imagined, a good thing. Simple to operate. Uses very, very little power. Gets as cold as you'd like. Now, the thermometer is in the wall, which is coldest part, so set 5-6 degrees colder. Pretty well made, and not too heavy. USB port is handy for phone. Nice looking design. I am going to use top/bottom foam to use as addl insulation. Be sure to cut any obstruction to vents. At $225 I am thrilled. Hope it lasts.UPDATE: Just used on my 1st field test, amazing. 36-38% F ran 72 hours on a 150ah deep battery, and I TURNED IT OFF, wasn't even dead yet. $225 is a bargain, love this unit.2nd Update....used on a trip, was amazed and impressed. Kept everything 36-40 degrees, had it set on 32, so you may have to tweek setting like I did. Here is the CRAZY part! I vane 2 75 amp hr deep cell batteries, in parallel, so 150 ah. I ran the unit 5 days and nights without charging as a test. When I shut it off after 5 days, I had 12.2V, 80% left. This unit draws so little power its crazy.

Not recommended for salesman in and out car.
I like the freezer comes with ac and dc cord and is just the right size for traveling. I dislike that freezer must remain plug in long period of time before it would even get close to dropping below 62 degrees. This freezer is not ideal for salesman that constantly in and out car. May be ok if you are long distance truck driver.
