Braid Plaited Chunky Hair Headband (01 Jet Black) [Misc.] Synthetic

Pros:+ Quality of "hair" is nice.+ Color was matching my hair: I have several natural shades: dark blond, light brown, cinnamon, and some strawberry / honey blond. The one I ordered has almost all of them except the redish tones. But it nonetheless matches my hair very nicely.+ Looks nice once installedCons:- Won't look nice if you don't have a lot or thick hair: to cover the extremities of the braid.- the extremities look UGLY (photo attached) and they are very thick and very hard to hide / cover. Maybe there is a technique but I still was not able to figure it out. They are not nicely done and they are glued with some tape around. (But once covered it is fine --> but you still worry, what if I move by hair too much and it uncovers the ugly sides!?)- Band is rather large, you can always tighten it, but requires some extra workFor the price ($18), to me, the quality has not been met fully. Braid is nice but the making is not. Maybe if the extremities were nicer and the braid longer (so at least these extremeties could be really hidden under the hair), it would worth it.Once again if you have long thick hair, then it may not bother you and you can easily hide the thick extremeties.But the effect looks nice, yes, once properly done...

The color is not accurate at all unfortunately. I have copper red hair and the pictures show differently. I bought the auburn, ginger and copper and all of them didn’t look quite right. The auburn was close but barely had any red hues, it looks more brown. The ginger had blonde in it and was not ginger at all, it was missing the orange and red. The copper was not vibrant and look more brownish as well. Disappointing and not worth it.

It is a very nicely done braid, but really noticeable that this is synthetic hair. Looks best woven into your own hair (so that it blends in), instead of being a stand-alone hairpiece. Weaving it into your own hair is time consuming and takes some skill, so I won't be getting a lot of everyday use from it. I do wish they would post an instructional video so that I could make it look like the ad photo in my hair.This braid can easily be used as a wrap around for a bun and looks really nice that way, but needs to be an EXACT MATCH for your own hair color and texture if used this way - if not, it will stick out like a sore thumb. The color is a good match for my own hair, but since the texture of this braid is HEAVY, SILKY, AND COMPLETELY STRAIGHT, it doesn't really look natural up against my baby fine, curly hair and really, REALLY needs to be woven in to prevent it from looking fake.The hair fibers in this braid are silky and slippery, so I cannot use it very well as a head band. It slips off my head within (literally) seconds of being put on. I can only use it within an elaborate undo, using LOTS of bobby pins and interweaving. Since I haven't gotten the hang of interweaving yet, I am still in the practice stage and will take some time before I'm ready to appear in public with this on. But in skilled hands, it has great potential to make thin, fine hair seem thicker and prettier.Bottom line: it is pretty, well made and the volume is generous and chunky. The fibers look synthetic so is best used intwined with your own natural hair. It will take time and skill to make the most of this braid.

This hairband was perfect finishing touch to my Anna (from Frozen) hairstyle/cosplay. I've had this hairband for three years now and thought I should write a review singing its praises. The fact that it has lasted so long should attest to the quality!Five stars from me! For several years I've been lucky to find hair braided headbands that match exactly my hair color, people always asked me intrigued how I could manage to braid my hair so beautifully, definitely matching the braid hair color with your own makes all the trick. Recently, I went from brunette to burgundy red and off course I could not use anymore my existing hair braided bands (not to mention trying to find in stores one that would match my new hair color). I have to say that this head band is absolutely beautiful, better quality than the ones I used to buy, is even thicker and looks very natural, I did my best guess with color and I got it just right!! Yess!! Other reviews mentioned that it has a little bit of darker hair strands wich really gives this item the natural aspect of real hair, it is true. I recommend this completely.

I've been looking for a chunky braid headband for awhile and this was perfect. I've wore it as a headband and also around a bun. I got the almost black color and it matched my black-brown hair. The only thing that could be improved is the elastic band at the bottom. It would be nice to have the hair go all the way around for going around buns. I can hide it if I start wrapping with the bottom first.

Got lots of compliments on this! I wore it to work to test out. I wanted to make sure that the band would stay before I wore it to my cousin's wedding reception. It did stay all day! the color was a perfect match for my hair too. I have jet black hair and it can be hard to match hair products with my super dark hair. I have worn it multiple times and some of the braid is coming apart so now I am careful and only reserving for special occasions. I am also considering buying a second one just to have in reserve. I have a hard time finding one with such a thick braid. I have checked Sally's and Clairs but they only have the thinner ones and the darkest they have is a dark brown.
