I recently purchased the Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance LED Floor Light, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The installation was a breeze, taking only a few minutes to set up. Once installed, the light looks sleek and modern, adding a touch of sophistication to my living space.One of the standout features is the wide range of color choices available. Whether I want a calm, relaxing ambiance with soft whites or a vibrant, party atmosphere with bold colors, this light has it all. It’s perfect for setting the mood for any occasion.I paired the light with a remote switch, which makes it incredibly convenient to control from anywhere in my home. This added functionality is a game-changer, allowing me to turn the light on and off or adjust the brightness without needing my phone.The accompanying app is intuitive and user-friendly. I particularly enjoy the preset effects, like the flame effect, which adds a fun and dynamic element to the lighting. The media could not be loaded. I was one of the very first consumers to purchase this product. In fact, I purchased all three of mine from Amazon when they were first offered for sale. If you've considered purchasing this floodlight, there are a few things that you NEED to know. Let's just get a few things out of the way. First off, are the lights bright? Yes, they are very colorful and bright. My wife and I love the output of each floodlight. I've uploaded a video of my backyard privacy patio. ALL of the lights featured in my video are from Philips (now Signify). My 12 individual bulbs are 3rd gen Philips Hue Color + White. You can clearly see each one of those individual bulbs in the video. The three Philips Hue Discover Outdoor White & Color Ambiance Floodlights are each mounted behind all three of my 4 foot Texas Lone Stars. These floodlights were immediately detectable by my Philips Bridge and I was able to have them working in tandem with my other Philips lights. I have NO complaints about the floodlights performance. The video speaks for itself. You can compare the output of the line-of-sight Hue bulbs to the output of the indirect lighting of the Hue floodlights. With all of the good mentioned about these floodlights in my review, here's the issue. In a word: MOUNTING. The solution for mounting these floodlights are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. For a floodlight of this caliber, the mounting solution is one of the worse I've ever seen. Each light comes with two cheap brackets that mount in a shape that's similar to a plus sign and held together by one center screw and one pivot screw. It gets even worse. If you unbox the floodlights and set them flat on a table or counter top, you will immediately notice that these floodlights are not perfectly symmetrical. The mounts come with two longer type metal screws but the screw holes that are punched into the bracket are totally off center from each other. This causes a secondary issue. It's an additional issue that causes this floodlight to be even more off center when it's mounted up. So, the consumer is left with an issue. Do you want the base of your light to be perfectly symmetrical on the surface to which you have mounted it? If so, your floodlight will be canted off center to one side. It is VERY noticeable. It will look very lopsided like you really messed up on installing your floodlight. So, you are left with a dilemma. Is it possible to have your floodlight facing towards you and appear level / symmetrical (or wherever you plan on facing it)? Yes, but once you do that, the base of the floodlight will now be completely lopsided. Again, it will look like you messed up the install. For me, it was less of an issue because each one of my floodlights are not directly in view and are hidden behind my Texas Lone Stars. Another issue for this light is weather-proofing. There is no back plate, there is no gasket and there is no rubberized sealer that would help keep out the elements. The backside of the floodlight is just open. Again, a floodlight of this caliber and at this price point is unacceptable, especially by today's standards. A gasket or back plate would have cost Philips no more than $3 - $4 to manufacture (maybe even MUCH less than $3 - $4). Instead, Philips wants you to buy some silicone caulking and glop it around the edges of the base of their floodlight. So, I'm at a crossroad here. I can ABSOLUTELY recommend this floodlight based on its' performance and in the same breath, I CANNOT recommend this floodlight to those who truly need an off-the-shelf weather enduring outdoor floodlight. If you can put up with the floodlight being crooked to one side or the other, then knock yourself out and enjoy your purchase. 5 STARS FOR COLORFUL AND RICH FLOODLIGHT PERFORMANCE. 1 STAR FOR AN UNACCEPTABLE MOUNTING / WEATHER PROOFING OUTDOOR FLOODLIGHT.

Very impressed with this light, it was just as easy to set up as my other Phillips hue exterior lighting. Linked in a matter of seconds and works great with the automations on the Phillips hue app. Gives off plenty of light right where I need it. Would absolutely buy this again.

Let me start off with two things: (1) this connects to an electric line and does NOT plug into a socket, so you’ll have to do some wiring and (2) your electric box that houses the wiring needs to be recessed/in the wall you’re affixing this to. The backing to the light is not enough to hide or shove wires behind it while it’s flush with the wall.The install was a total pain in the you know what because I had to get an electric box (not included) and cut a while into my garage siding so that it would be recessed. The screws included suck, they’re hard to align, and it gets to the point where you may improvise the last two screws (to hold the base to your box) with something else you have.Overall, once it connects its amazing. It’s bright, it does all the colors, it was easy to connect and incorporate into my bridge, and I’ve set it up with my outdoor routine to automatically come on at night. It replaced an old sodium vapor light that was old and rusted.If you have the patience of a literal saint, are comfortable doing electric wiring (again, this does not plug up into an outlet and please, shut your power off before working so you don’t die of electrocution), have an electrical box housing, and are able to make sure it’s recessed, it’s worth it.You’ll run the full gambit of curse words installing it and regret life for some seconds, but it’s worth it.

Fácil instalación, muy buena iluminación (mas de lo que esperaba), solo si consideren que tiene que ir instalada a registro y sellar para evitar que entre el agua. Un poco caro pero vale la pena.

I was going to give this four stars but since there's another review complaining about the back plate which is totally wrong I figure I will give five to make up for theirs. This is your typical Hue quality light and works amazing. We had a dedicated flood light in our backyard that this replaced and it is just as bright if not brighter, it lights up my entire backyard. The only reason I was going to give four stars is because it was really complicated to install as you install the wall plate first and then have to put the light on over top which was really difficult to get the screws to line up with the holes. Took me forever to finally get it whereas other Hue outdoor lights mount to the wall significantly easier. Really happy with it especially as now when we are in the pool at night we don't need a super bright white flood light but can dim it or change it to a nicer color!

I am amazed at the negative reviews (albeit the French one-what can one say). The package is complete with all components for a 4 " octagonal outlet box. 1 reviewer also alleged it comes with dimming and motion features (BS), as this is an outdoor lite if U pack too much processing it will probably crap out as it has to withstand -40 to +40. Leave ur smartphone outside 24/7 and see how long it lasts. I took of the old ugly lites (20 years in the zeitgeist era of basic illumination) and the mounting was very straight forward (about 30 minutes) as the instructions were crystal clear - just follow em. 1 reviewer earlier to this one mentioned that the 2 PVC mounting inserts for the back plate screws were hard to align. I am glad they are precision fitting and not wobbly as I do not want ingress of elements and bugs in the circuitry. They lined up perfectly and used a 7 mm ignition wrench to torque em down as you do not want to use a ratchet for obvious reasons. the HUE bridge connected in a jiffy and Alexa allowed me to synch as well for a schedule for energy conservation. I installed these just recently so cannot comment on longevity but hey its Philips. The lite output is about 2800 lumens with ambient setting for the occasion. I will set mine at Polish amber to avoid bugs flirting around my front door in the fly/moth season so this is a bonus one cannot deny. Easy install for anyone who does not waste his time watching sitcoms and has DTer skillsets. A little pricey but hey U get what U pay for.

Nice lights. Bright enough for our needs. Water did get inside so we hand to empty it out and seal the light for outdoors.
