But thankfully the only difference in the taste was it being a bit more sweet than the maple extract I ran out of before
I ran out of my maple extract so I decided to check to see if they sold the same brand on here. Sure enough they do. But when I went to make syrup with the one I purchased here I instantly noticed a difference. As I was cooking it I saw the color was very weird. Not the usual rich red/brown color it usually is. It was the color of apple juice or pee. So I was nervous to eat it with my pancakes. But thankfully the only difference in the taste was it being a bit more sweet than the maple extract I ran out of before. My father saw the syrup stored in the refrigerator and said “Do I dare ask what this weird yellow stuff is?” When he saw it. So the color is nothing like syrup should be.

Great if you use stevia as a sweetener and need the Maple taste
I use it for desserts where I have substituted the sweetening element, but want the flavor of rich Canadian Maple. I tried Maple Flavored stevia but did not care too much for it. So far I have used this in a Maple Pecan Cheese Cake and a Maple-lavender icecream. Occassionaly I also add it to my granola with almond milk. Something about Maple, it was created to be married to nuts haha. It is delicious! Its true, we do eat first with our noses and eyes!

Mmmmmm, Mapie
I was looking for extracts to add new flavors to my diet mandated protein shakes, and decided I'd try Maple. J.D Watkins does a nice rum extract, so I thought I'd try the Maple. Wow! Designed to give syrups maple flavoring without the expensive of real maple, this stuff packs quite a kick. When you open the bottle, Maple essence wafts all through the kitchen, and a little goes a long way.It does give a pleasing maple flavor without having to use a lot, and it tastes like real maple syrup. I'll use it again.

Nice maple flavoring for cooking and baking
You do not need much! This is nice to add to extra flavor BBQ sauces, and other cooking recipies where some maple extract is needed. Only a tea or table spoon is required under most applications!
