The book covers the full spectrum - from the overall system to creating the stock (deciding what and standardizing processes), to operation (running the business) and obsolescence and disposal. It's a complete life cycle approach with practicable techniques and suggestions. It's a great reference for those wanting to improve spare parts management.

Good book among few references available in this level. I didn't like the structure of the book which is mainly text based (less flowchart, tables, matrices and so). Editing can definitely be improved as well. But altogether, it's a good reference for me with little knowledge about spare parts.

This is a good starting point for those interested in the world of spare part management, on which literature is clearly not easy to come by. It is a well structured overview that looks at many different angles of inventory management in the context of spare parts.
