Sweet & Simple Needle Felted Animals: A Step-By-Step Visual Guide Kindle Edition

This book is a great introduction to needle felting for the beginner. It has in depth instructions for making some darling animals. I wish I would have had this book when I started my first project. What make this different from many of the other needle felting books for beginners is that it has front, back AND side views along with ruler lines to tell you all dimensions and pictures/templates of the actual size of the parts. Most books have these views but don't really tell you how thick the pieces are.

I bought this book for my 9 year old daughter who at such a young age has a gift for creating very small crafts of all kinds. She has had her eye on needle felting for some time, but I have held her off because as talented as she can be, realistically this looks difficult to master. She loves the book and she loves needle felting, however she does get very frustrated because it is certainly not easy. This is a craft that takes time and effort to make the animals look remotely like the photo's presented in the book. The book itself is great. It is informative and offers a variety of cute animals to make, with the photo's very well done. Having said that, I would I would take the phrase "sweet and simple" to mean "an introduction along with a whole lot of practice"

Book had some great ideas, but needed more variety of critters. Liked the instructions on how to construct what animals were offered. The book just needed to add 3 or 4 more animals.

There are so many cute animals, it's hard to decide which one to make first. The instructions are clearly shown and easy to follow.

This is an easy to follow,simple to make instruction book, on felting small and very cute animals. Good for a beginner who has made an item or two (like me) Nice book to have in your collection.

Good book for beginners and those with some experience. Covers the basics including supplies and technique. I like the photos that are the actual size of the various animal parts. I'm looking forward to making lots of adorable animals.

Finding a good needle felting book in English can be hard but this one is great at covering a range of easy to make felted animals. Simple to follow instructions and pictures, perfect for a beginner felter.

I wish this had a few more animals, it is good for teaching but many times the same steps are repeated with just a size difference.

I read a lot of good reviews about this book before buying it, and had a "look inside" on the website, so knew what to expect from this book. I am currently making the miniature dachshund and the book is so easy to follow (I'm a beginner) with every step photographed and explained. It even gives you how much wool to use for each part! It also has patterns for each animal so you can check how yours looks against the book.All in all, a very helpful book with lots of lovely things to make. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in needle felting, especially if you are a beginner, but would suit more intermediates too.

Beautiful designs, clearly explained. I am a complete beginner and was able to make the first 3 designs I chose easily. There are even size guides to help me check that I am using the correct quantities.
