It just did not work. The batteries didn't even last 2 days, so for their ad to say the batteries lasted 6 months is a scam. They should test their product to make the 4 AA batteries really last 6 months before they sell any more. Its 2.4G it doesn't work on 4G & 5G networks but the customer service person wouldn't hear that and insist 2.4 G connected to wifi is totally uneffected by the mobile phone companies telling everyone their 2.4G devices will soon not be compatible with 5G networks, but has a mobile phone app for the camera. This when one has to refrain from calling names and just return the item. It made no sense to say that and offer a "mobile phone app" that works on 2.4G and tell you a lie about it working on 5G. This review give 1 star for the obvious reason, you have to pick at least one star.

didn't have it long an went down for me an could't reprogram company gave me no help mainly because my warrant was out i try to setup but nothing this is junk if you can't get help to make it work.

Nothing worked on the camera WiFi connection was awful.

The media could not be loaded.  I have other SpotCams and I thought this one would integrate into my PC app, it shows only a still image, You cannot review events or footage or change settings using the PC app, only the Cell Phone app which is disappointing, the resolution is low, and on Battery it is mostly off and only records if an event occurs and even then it is slow to react. It does not have much WiFi range, I see a screw in back that looks like it could accept an antenna but no antenna came with the unit. When you download a video it does go to the desktop app in MyFilm so that is one plus I guess. Just wish I could view all Spot Cams in one application.

I've owned it for more than 8 months now, in general this product is a disappointment:- battery life: it advertised for "up to 6 months per charge"? I used fresh NiMH AA batteries, each last more like a day on average, 3 days top.- mounting: the magnetic ball-shaped mount is a nice idea, however it is nowhere near strong enough to hold its weight up. If you want to maintain a horizontal viewing angle, it would always droop down until it can't slide any further.- weatherproof: rated for IP65, that must be some stretch of definition, as after a few rainy days water started to sip right through the seams, to the point where the black wire that connects the main body to the opening lid at the bottom is starting to rust - yes in spite of that wire having an insulation jacket of sort.- random brightness saturation: sometimes the video feed would show a completely white-washed display. At first I thought it was because the sun was directly shining at the camera, but I confirmed it wasn't & it's not reproducible even at the same time of another day. & without brightness control it's not like I can do anything about it.- too many clicks to get to live feed: each needing to load for a while, by the time I get to the live video it's close to a min or so after.Some good points:- playback is intuitive: the timeline interface at the app is a nice touch- SD card local storage: so you don't need to rely on cloud- viewing angle is wide enough- Not made in China!

Disgusting spotcam! I was your biggest fan and saved for my new 2 x Spotcam Solo’s and you send me a f*****g used one from one of your houses! Dirty, no adhesive to even put on my wall. Useless I bought a brand new one! Recorrect this or else I will not be purchasing a Spotcam doorbell, or a single other Spotcam product. STEP UP YOUR GAME MATE (Kindly love Australia). #disappointed

I've had this product for maybe a bit under a year or so. It's not too expensive and has the proper outdoor cold ratings for Canadian weather. The device does offer a 30-day cloud storage for free, which is nice and useful too.To view the camera feed, you require the android App, which is a minor annoyance. But at least they've recently updated the app to be a bit faster than originally.The motion sensor is good for most things, except for fast moving cars. The microphone isn't amazing to be honest, but you're not really buying this for the camera anyways.The SpotCam system can be integrated into your Google Home, which is actually the main reason I bought it in the first place. Plus the price point is at a nice low cost as well.Installation is relatively simple because the camera itself is lightweight. You can drill holes and use the provided screws to mount, or do what I did and just use outdoor-rated mounting tape instead. The camera itself is magnetic on the back and just sticks onto the mounting bracket half-dome.I've ran into some small hardware issues with this, but SpotCam's customer service has been great in helping me deal with it. All in all, I'm pretty content with this device

DIe Kamera verbindet sich nicht mit dem WLAN, wenn der WLAN-Name oder das WLAN Password irgendwelche Sonderzeichen enthalten (auch keine üblichen wie - _ blank o.ä. Dies erfährt man leider erst durch einen Beipackzettel. So mus man ggf. den WLAN Namen und/oder das Password ändern und dabei alle -,._ blank, Umlaute etc. entfernen. Dann müssen aber alle im WLAN angemeldeten Geräte neu konfiguriert werden, also Smartphones, iPads, Drucker, PCs, etc,...Selbst wenn man dies alles dann getan hat, ist die Verbindung zum WLAN über den externen Server für heutige Verhältnisse sehr instabil, selbst wenn die Kamera direkt neben dem Router liegt.Nicht empfehlenswert. Es gibt einfachere und stabilere Lösungen und Produkte.
