Our tank was getting greener and our 4 (may be now 3!?...) shrimps were struggling to keep up. The glass was also getting more and more dirty by the day. Combination of 10 Ramshorn snails (bought on amazon from Smallworlsupplies) and "Evolution Aqua Pure Aquarium" (we only used one bead), meant that in just 24 hours the water AND the glass are now crystal clear!!So pleased!

Snails arrived within a week or so..all alive and well packaged. Only mistake I made was putting them straight in the tank so only two survived as the big goldfish ate them. What I should have done was put them in the tank but sheltered in one of the hollow ornaments to give them a chance to establish so that the fish could not get to them the moment they were released. The two who survived have grown well so the fish leaves them alone and they are really pretty to look at and very effective at cleaning the glass.

Update : *All snails doing well, have grown and appear healthy. Just wondering if they'll survive the freezing Northumberland winter outside in tiny wildlife pond ? *A rrived alive, healthy and well packaged. Introduced them into my new, tiny wildlife pond. No known predators in there, but don't know where most of them are - only seem to see the same two or three. I hope the others are hiding under the large rocks in the pond and that birds haven't eaten them. They're only small at the moment though, so with a bit of luck, the birds won't be able to see them either !

The snails arrive in 2 testubes. 1 of the snails was so large it almost blocked the tube. Suffice to say none of the snails in that tube were alive. The other tube had very little water in and also had dead snails. When I opened the tubes it was obvious there were dead snails. The smell was awful. I have 3 alive but not sure if one of them will survive. Its minuet and looks like the bigger snails have been squashing it.I have asked for a refund and the seller replied almost immediately and apologised.NOT THE SELLERS FAULTHe posted 1st class on 6th May but I didn't receive them till 11th May. Royal mail were at fault and he gave me a refund. I am awaiting confirmation from Amazon to say the refund has given. Confirmation from Amazon.

Very much alive and in good condition all different shades of colour all are roaming my tanks and I only just put them....definitely recommend

Very good, arrived on time and most of the snails were alive, as discribed. Their doing a great job in the tank.

Have these little guys for about a month now- 7 have survived with our 2 black moors which is fantastic! They must be pretty hardy snails given their bumpy start to get established with these guys as previous snail attempts failed…. We put the snails on the underside of an ornament which helped. I’m not sure there were 10 to begin with in the test tube they were posted in as they were all bunched together but really happy with them, there were a few big, some v small and most kid size but all survivors are growing well.

They came in a perspex tube with a little water and were perfectly healthy. I put a couple in my small tank and the rest in a bigger one both of which having had green algae. They've all survived and love eating great algae! There's assassin snails in there too but they seem to feed in different parts of the tank. Very pleased with them.
