Thor's Hammer Celtic Nordic Viking God Large Sterling Silver Slide Pendant

I think the picture was a little deceiving. I expected the piece to be solid for the priced i paid. I did not expect it to be concave. This was a let down. It makes the piece seem cheaper. The slider opening is too small for a leather rope. This needs to be worn on something that looks strong, but being that its not solid... Well I am giving it as a gift to a man, I hope he likes it... or it will be returned. Thank you.

My feelings on this pendant are not really different to those others providing reviews here. My only comment is that although the Product Description says that the piece has a "flat back" the piece I received is not so. The back has been hollowed out leaving a concave surface with thick edges for the sides. I suspect this was done to maintain a price point as the cost of silver has gone up so rapidly. I guess I have no problem with that - it makes the piece somewhat lighter than the others may have been describing, but not so much as to weaken the piece. I think the Product Description just needs to be updated so that a buyer will not be disappointed.

I bought this for my son and he was very unhappy with the quality. It looks very cheap. He had hoped the back would have been solid. Very poor quality

I was looking for a Sterling Silver Thor's hammer with a detailed face because my husband had his stolen in a hospital in Mexico when he went under surgery. I'll be giving this to him on our 10th year anniversary and hope he loves it. I'll write another review when he receives this next month. The shipping estimated arrival had me worried because it would have arrived after I left for my month vacation and family wedding/reunion down under. It was a very good surprise to find in my mail box this and so now I have to hide this box for over a month before I share it with him. Since I already purchased this with a SS chain and giftbox... I just have to present it to him with a lovely card ^:^ Thank you for making this less stressful.

Beautiful piece. Others state it's opening has trouble fitting certain clasps. I ordered a 1mm snake chain and it fits perfect. This WILL fit a 2 mm snake also, just be sure the clasp is low profile. As of now the 1mm necklace I got has plenty of room.I say again this WILL fit a 2mm it is the CLASP bulk you need to be concerned over.Fitting bigger chains just fit the pendant with 2 rings, and attach. In any case this is very nice crafted piece. I recommend!

I bought this pendant for a family member who is graduating from college and has a great love of Norse mythology and spirituality. He loved it! It looks beautiful on him and he is a big guy. I guess I should add that the leather chain that is recommended to go with it, doesn't...its clasp is too thick to fit through the pendant. I loaned him my chain and then his aunt bought him a gorgeous chain as a present.
