Highwood AD-CLAS1-ACE Classic Westport Adirondack Chair, Weathered Acorn

This is a very high quality chair, built with durable materials that can take the beating from outdoor use. Don't confuse it with one of those cheap one-piece injection molded chairs. This one looks and feels much closer to a traditional Adirondack chair. Each of the parts is individually molded and assembled in a very solid construction technique. For this, it should deserve a 5-star rating.My disappointment with this chair comes from its design. Unlike other Adirondack chairs I've purchased over the years, the angle between the back and the seat is tighter. The back of the chair is at the normal angle to the ground, but your legs and knees are in a more upright position than other Adirondack chairs. It isn't comfortable. You aren't stretching out your legs the same way you would with a traditional design. And if you are shorter than 5'11'' it is downright uncomfortable. Why would they deviate from a tried and true design? I suspect it is to shorten the long runners that support the seat slats and also serve as the rear legs of the chair - in order to minimize the quantity of material necessary to produce this chair. Unfortunately - it is those very parts that define an Adirondack chair.I really wish I could provide a 5 star rating for this chair, but with the design flaw I really can't recommend it as a comfortable replacement for a traditional wood Adirondack chair.

Attractive, reasonably priced alternative to wooden Adirondack chairs, that simply cannot handle the Northeast weather without rapid aging. Very well packaged although there was a small chip in one rail. I was very quickly sent a replacement rail with screws and easily replaced the rail. They do not have the obvious plastic appearance of many synthetic chairs and look like wood from a distance. The test will really be how they hold up after a few winters.

Looks great, assembly is pretty simple (ALL SCREWS ARE IDENTICAL, they must have changed that since previous posts), sits well and is comfortable. Nowhere near as heavy or "solid" as Polywood, but that can also be a negative. Materials feel a little frail, but I think that's because I'm used to Polywood. Price is much better the Pwood as well.

Although they are expensive, they were just what we were looking for. Sturdy and nice looking. We didn't want the plastic chairs that break in a year, not wooded (that rot). These fit the bill perfectly. Highly recommended.

My husband and I are both extremely handy with tools. So when we went to put the tool into the holes of the bolt they don't easily match up with the tool. You need to rotate the tool several times to get it to fit the bolt head. We can put a ma on the moon but we can't make a hexagon hole fit a hexagon tool?Expect more out of your product! We are Americans - we can make it so much better. Comfort is good - not great. Look is good. Sturdiness is pretty good but I'm questioning whether I could have got them better made and already assembled by the Amish.

Good price, well constructed, and seems to be durable. Easy to assemble.It's not as comfortable as other Adirondack chairs I've sat in. The back is totally flat. If it was more comfortable I would've given it 5 stars.

Got 2 of these about a month or so ago when they went on lightning price. First off, very easy to put together, 4 pieces, it you can't do it get a teenager to. They seem like good quality. I like the darker wood look. They sit up a bit more than my old woods ones so I wish the back was a bit more reclined myself. Overall we are very satisfied.

Love, love these chairs!!! Easy to put together, but takes 2 people and bout 30 min per chair. They are very comfortable and very good looking. We’ve had lots of compliments. The color is exactly as shown online. I would order again in a heartbeat!
