In a world where this style is so common, these are much better than most.
Firstly, I think the 5 star rating is biased due to the discounted price at which I purchased these. For $40 these are Well worth the price. At the original $70, maybe not so much.I have had many versions of this style sandal and for the most part they are all very similar with an occasional annoyance. This particular one has had none of the annoyances and all of the pluses for its design. Some of the things that these sandals do NOT have are as follows:-The back strap is not hard so when you slide it on quickly and don't pull the strap over your heal, you don't have to walk on something that stabs the bottom of your foot.-The strapping that goes over your feet is not stiff or rough so it doesn't dig into your foot causing skin loss or blistering.-The rubber sole is not just made of a hard plastic so that when it starts to get worn, you don't slip and slide when you walk on painted surfaces. The things that it DOES have are:-The Velcro is nice and long so you don't have to pull it so tight to avoid the velcro opening up.The insole is comfortable and grippy enough so that your feet don't slide around in them.-The straps are soft enough not to irritate your feet but strong enough so that I don't have to worry that they'll give out.It seems very well built unlike many of the 'cheaper' variations that I have owned.Thoughts for the future:- I'm hoping that where the straps are connected between the sole and insole are built as well as they look so that they don't pull apart as many of my previous sandals have. This seems to be the main failure point of this type of sandal. At a normal price point of $70, and seeing and feeling the quality of this brand, I'm hoping that they will last long into the future.I am very satisfied with this sandal.

Comfortable but tough sandal
My husband loves these sandals. They fit great and are very comfortable. Also insoles are neoprene, not memory foam so they haven’t developed the horrible odor that memory foam sandals often do. He has gotten them really soaked several times and they have held up really well and he is extremely hard on shoes

GROSSLY undersized, but very comfortable
In the photo, the old sandal on the left is a 10W. I normally wear a 9.5 EEE so I originally ordered a 10W and it was WAY too small. I had to go with an 11W, shown on the right in the photo. Note that these two seem to be the exact same size despite the fact one is labeled 10W and the other 11W.These sandals have a lot of arch support and are very comfortable, but I suspect the neoprene lining on the sole will wear away quickly. I'm guessing I'll have to replace these in 1 - 2 years. The original order was Prime so it came in 2 days, but the replacement was not Prime and took almost a week to get here. Now a rant about Chinese manufacturing: These are the third shoes in a row to be very much too small for the listed size. I suspect this is a trend designed to conserve materials and to force the consumer to buy additional items.

Best for Flintstone-sized feet - and look ugly
When I adjust either the top strap or the rear (heel) strap to a barely snug fit, the strap sticks out from the shoe about an inch or more. The velcro isn't long enough to keep the strap attached to the shoe, so the straps stick out to the side. I'd need much fatter feet to get around this problem. Arch support not too good. Style of shoe looks ugly once on my feet, especially at the toes. I bought a normal width. They fit just wide enough at the ball of my feet, but too wide at the heel. If you have healthy sized feet, these shoes may not fit you too well.

Very comfortable, even immediately following foot surgery...
Thankfully these sandals were right the first order placed for adjustable foot wear to accommodate bandaged foot throughout the healing process. This pair of Nunn Bush sandals has been worn about 90% of the time since I had foot surgery back in March. Not completely healed yet, and have been unable to wear new (not broken in) orthopedic Dr. Comfort shoes bought a month ago. The shoes are too uncomfortable to wear more than 30 minutes at a time so no telling when they will be comfortable enough to wear for an outing away from home. When not in the NB sandals, I have been in a well worn & loved very old pair of Teva slides that cannot be adjusted... and I have tried several adjustable slides that have not worked out.

A warning to those with a high instep
I am 6'-2" and wear a size 12. I have a high instep. When fitting these, I couldn't secure the instep strap as it wasn't long enough. I had to first secure the instep strap at its longest possible attachment point (1/2 inch of contact), then put in my foot, which hung over the back, then secured the back strap, which is thankfully long enough. So, on my feet, they look like they are a size and a half too big so I will only wear them around the house, more for potential safety reasons than looks. And no, I don't wear socks with them. Other than what I mentioned, the build quality is nice. I sincerely wish they made the instep strap longer.

Really like these sandals
Have had these about two months now, used them about ten days of getting in and out of canoes and while paddling. They stand up to water very well and are really comfortable. I like them much better than water shoes because your feet are open, the water drains off, and your skin dries quickly.I have not used them for hiking, so I can't say how they would be for hours of walking. I do know that when I go out I usually have them on for at least 4 hours at a time and never had any discomfort. They are also very light weight, which is a big plus.

I like these
For years I had used and liked the pair of Voit sandals I owned. I used them for walking in streams and small rivers and for when I wanted to wade while fishing close to shore in lakes and ponds. One strap finally broke, and I looked for a replacement. I didn't find those Voit sandals, but I did order these Nunn Bush Men's Rio Bravo Sport River Sandals. This was a recent purchase, and I have used them only twice, but so far I like these even better. They are easier to put on and even more comfortable. They seem like they will last.
