Instead of a clothesline...
I bought these hook hangers instead of a clothesline for an upcoming Europe trip where we will be doing some laundry in the hotel rooms. I liked the idea of these because instead of trying to find a place to hang a clothesline, these can be hung in a closet or on a shower curtain rod. They are pretty stiff plastic so I expect a couple of them will easily hold a tshirt or one could hold a sock or underwear.Update 11/30/12These worked great on our trip just as expected for drip drying hand washed socks and underwear in our hotel room. They could be hung from a towel bar, shower curtain rod, or closet rod. I wouldn't hang anything too heavy from them though.

Thinner plastic than earlier versions. Be careful with them!
Icky, one broke already? The hook part handle just fell apart in my hand. I've used a version of these for years. I couldn't believe when one broke. I don't hang heavy things. Just in bathroom: like my shower cap. Oh well. I'm ordering metal clips on my next Amazon order. Guess the plastic is thinner than the kind they used to make. Like everything. Disposable. Just what we need, more plastic in landfills. Otherwise, these are great. Easily fit over shower curtain rods.

Thin Plastic But Work OK
These hooks aren't the most spectacular quality, but they are what I expected. I got them to replace others I've had for years. They work fine for hanging lingerie from the shower bar. That's all I've asked of them. I'm sure a few will break down the line, but I don't expect a lifetime guarantee. Can't say if they'd hold anything heavier like wet pants out of the washer, but I'd be doubtful.

Perfect for travel
There are cheaper products out there, which I know because I've tried them. The cheaper ones break easily and these don't. We've traveled the world with these, with our hand laundry hanging from lamp fixtures, drawer pulls, and the backs of chairs. It is not necessary to have a shower rod with these hooks. We love them!

My friend was thrilled
My friend had a set of 12 that was more than 20 years old...Over the years they dwindled down to 4...She looked everywhere to purchase more but, none were to be found...Being the sleuth that I am on the internet I found them and ordered 2 sets for her...She was so excited when I gave them to her...She said "Where did you find them I have been looking for years to no avail" She is thrilled and uses them every day to dry her hand washed items...

Worked, not very heavy duty
These worked to hang our swim suits to dry while on vacation. I had to use 2 per item top or bottom of the swim suites but only one for the kid's suit.

Clothespin hangers
These clothespin hangers are perfect for drip drying stockings and underwear on a shower rod or similar rod in the laundry room. I bought some blue ones in a store that won't fit on the rod in my laundry room, but these are perfect. It's too bad the shipping is so expensive and is just doubled if you double the number that you order rather than going by weight. They're still worth it.

Okay
Not the quality of the ones I bought a few years ago at a dollar store, and much more expensive, but they'll do the trick for a while.
