Bandai Hobby HGBF Beargguy III Kai "Build Fighters Try" Action Figure

The original (brown) GPB-04B "Beargguy" that appeared in "Model Suit Gunpla Builders Beginning G" is a custom version of the MSM-04 Acguy, a standard amphibious mech for the Principality of Zeon, which appeared in the original anime Mobile Suit Gundam. KUMA-F Beargguy F (Family) is a variation of GPB-04B that appeared in the "Gundam Build Fighters Try" anime series. This white version was renamed "Mamagguy" and the little blue one is called "Petitgguy." Petitgguy is able to disengage during battle and provide back-up using martial arts. Even if all that doesn't impress you, maybe just the idea of a bear-style mobile suit is enough. These kits appeal to longtime Gundam model builders and newbies alike...the cuteness factor can't be denied.I have several versions of the Beargguy mobile suits and they are fun and fairly easy to make, and lots of fun to set up and pose. They would likely be a great kit for beginners just getting into Gunpla, as they are not full of lots of small pieces. Everything snaps together perfectly without effort, and the instructions are easy to understand without having to know how to read Japanese. I like the punch-extender for the arm. As always they are top-quality from Bandai, as is to be expected! No complaints from me over any aspect; it's 5/5 stars all the way.There are 2 things I suggest getting to enhance your build experience. First, the mobile suit stands up very well on its own but if you want it to fly or pose in a more dynamic way, pick up a 1/144 Bandai Hobby Action Base 2 display stand. They come with an attachment that fits the peg-hole on the underside of the suit. Secondly, get yourself a Black Fine Point Gundam Marker. If you do all the lines on the model in black, it REALLY makes a difference, especially with this white version. I also used the marker to fill in the eyes & nose. There's some minimal paint you can do as well, like coloring the inside of the mouth pink, and the paw pads. But at the very least add black line detailing. Other than getting yourself a nice pair of nippy cutters, you are ready to go!

my boyfriend builds the bigger gundams not petitgguy but he got me this one and the cute big pink one ! He likes detailing so it took us almost 5 hours to make but if you dont detail them it would take WAY LESS TIME. This figure is one of my favorites and i'm happy it comes with a little blue petitgguy! worth the price!

It's hard to not love Beargguy! This one was very easy to build and the joints and everything feel tight and secure. The gunpla also balances well without a stand for most poses.Also, if you are new to gunpla and are intimidated by traditional gundams then Beargguy is a good place to start. The build is much simpler than gundams and is a good introduction to how to interpret the instruction manuals, learning where to cut the pieces from the frame, and how to place tiny stickers on these guys.

It's a good basic Gundam kit. My daughter has recently become a big fan of the Petit Guy bears, so she wanted a mama for them. We built the kit together. Not too difficult or time consuming, and the bear family is a little bit bigger.

Lovely design for the price and a solid build overall.I bought this as a gift for my mother on Mother's Day and after putting the time and energy into the build and getting it done right it was obvious that they had taken their time to really make this set feel decent without a lot of work needed.On the whole I enjoyed the build process and both I and my mom enjoyed the finished product.

Bought beargguy over the weekend and it came in 3 business days! Very quick shipping in my experience. As for the product, no missing pieces or damaged parts. My girlfriend loves the kit and hopefully this will get her to start building more gunpla.
