Best purchase
These are by far the BEST hose reel and storage boxes I have ever owned! Easy to install and to wind up your hose, just put your foot on the pedal. ( Make sure to turn the water off first, easier on the motor) I am so happy I purchased these! Highly recommend!!!

works pretty darn well
i was skeptical at first but reading positive reviews swayed me. it really does work well. Hose needs to be laid out sort of straight in front of it but has a strong motor and battery. battery slides in and sometimes needs a wiggle but its a good product. hose winds up well. battery connections and charger could be imprived upon but it works

Junk - lasted les than a year
Got 1 season out of it before the electric motor died. now it's junk and very hard to reel by hand.

Suncast Powerwind Hose Reel
I had to replace my 5 years old pair of Suncast Powewind Hose reels. My wife likes the convenience on not having to manually wind the 100 feet of hose every time one is used. Essentially these two are the same as my previous pair. The one thing I learned is don't leave them outside through the winter, even my mild North Carolina. The leaves, get inside, an just make a mess getting everything covered with dirt. Durablility, I would rate average. Maybe with better care these will last longer than 5 years. Nothing made today last like the same items made 50 years ago. We live in a throwaway society now.

A MUST HAVE!
The BEST investment ever! Easy to set up...easier to use. Sturdy, comes with anchor stakes so you r not dragging the box as you are pulling out the hose! After I got mine, my neighbor's son told his mother and she bought them the next day!

Great for those who have big yards to water plants, but have to be careful...
Inside the panel in picture, the section that releases the belt, when the lever is being used....it is only plastic that causes it to do so...only lasted a year and cracked...have to manually stick a screwdriver in there to get it to wind now. pretty poor design to use plastic instead of metal.

Easy to use and keeps the yard tidy.
This hose winder makes it easy to have a tidy yard by quickly rolling the house out of the way. We charged the battery overnight and get 4-6 weeks of winding per charge.

I’ve bought 4 for myself and family
Love being able to rewind by just stepping on a Pedal.A few tips—You need a lightweight hose if you’re going to do 100 feet. I use the water right 400 series Lightweight garden hoses. They last.— If the lid is not shut, the rewind feature won’t work— I wish the fittings were not made of plastic, but Suncast was great about sending a replacement plastic hook up for Free when one broke about three years in. Great customer service keeps me coming back.— The battery will usually last us an entire year Without recharging. Always take the battery inside during the winter. That’s usually when I recharge for the next season, taking it off when it’s fully charged. It’s a little tricky, getting the charging connectors hooked up, but I think they did this so you didn’t have to have a special battery. If you ever have to have a replacement battery, they use a standard battery like the one you put in a garage door opener.— To save yourself a lot of hassle, put some type of stopper on the end To keep the hose real from retracting past the hose guide. I have added a quick connect hose system to the end of mine, and that keeps it from retracting too far and allows me to quickly change my attachments.— Hubby hates that the incoming Leader hose attachment does not swivel. So we attach the leader hose with a quick connect as well. Much easier to connect and disconnect everything before winter comes.— we live in the south We’re freezing temperatures are rare. So while I always disconnect the hoses for the winter and bring The battery inside, I’ll leave the hose reel and the hose outside all winter. It’s been 10 years and I’ve never had a problem.
