The unit was as easy to install as other comparable products and setup was OK, not great. Had no problem with connection and control of the switches through Alexa and google devices work OK. However it's quality is lacking, I rarely unclip the cover as Wifi does all the work, however after just 18 months the clips are broken, seems perished from the weather and the cover no longer stays shut so it's not waterproof anymore. Had to tape it down to seal it.

I have 4 of these in my garden and have replaced 2 over the past 3 years. They work on 2.4 WiFi only. What you need to do is to get a friend with an android phone to log on to the network you want to connect this to. You then connect to the hotspot and you are automatically connected on 2.4 WiFi. So, none of this fiddling with network settings. Installation is simple and quick. Once I have installed these plugs I always put a strip of masking tape across the top hinges and run a clear silicone sealant around the outside edge where it meets the wall to ensure it remains dry. You need to push down on the front cover before trying to release the latches.

Fitted this socket in the garden to enable us to operate irrigation pump remotely with the wi-fi app and it is working well.

Very easy to install, set up and manage through the app. Connected to decking lights and works a treat through Alexa commands. Good clue for money, was concerned about the plastic been cheap and flimsy after reading other reviews, however this was not the case.

Great. Works well and easy to install and set up. You can use smart life or enerjsmart app to set up. And I added smart life to the IFTTT app and can now control my garden lights with one click on my watch or phone widget. Very happy.

Socket was a bit awkward to fit. The electrician wasn't that impressed with the build quality as it's not as solid as outdoor socket it replaced. Electrician also had to alter part of the casing to fit the existing screw holes of old socket.The socket was fairly easy to link with phone and Alexa (using app), although the instructions were very small to read and not so easy to understand. Worst, and most dangerous thing about socket is that rain water has entered inside the casing. I now have to cover the socket in wet and windy weather- not ideal at all. Not the best of products out there.

The media could not be loaded. This is the second unit I've purchased, having already returned one unit for the same reason.The problem I still have (and had) is identical. On first installation and power up, the unit worked perfectly and connected successfully to the app. However 12h later (less than 6h with the latest purchase) the unit went off line, both of the small switches failed and I wasn't able to re-establish a connection with the app.Having previously engaged with their support team after the first failure (they offered to send out a replacement which I declined as it was easier to return it to Amazon), I thought it was a one off problem. Now having experienced exactly the same problem with a second unit, I've come to the conclusion that the product itself is useless.I'm sure I'll be returning this unit back to Amazon too.To rub salt into the wound, the first unit was installed by a professional electrician (£65) and ENER-J refused my request to reimburse me, simply stating "Since the product was installed and was working on inspection it was not faulty out of the box, There can be numerous reasons due to which it could have gone faulty overnight." Yeah! - the most likely being their product is just not fit for purpose.This (2nd time), I spent hours ensuring it was totally waterproof and sealed tight. Didn't make any difference.The video shows my unit the following morning. Even though it looks as though I have power to the right hand socket, I've concluded that the power must be coming on and immediately going off - hence the blue light flashing. The left hand socket is as dead as a Dodo.If you do decide to take the risk and buy one of these sockets, I hope you have better luck than my TWO failed attempts! Just cheap and nasty.
