British Waterways Canal River Trust Key by Solid As A Lock Hardware

2 stars, because although they work in 6 or seven locks I have tried, they are not as depicted: a British Waterways Key but cheap copies. The major difference is that as shown in the picture the original has an extra raised line near the teeth, these copies do not have that, so these keys may not work in all locks. My second gripe is that I ordered 3 keys and was charged 3 pounds postage, but they came in one second class package with a face value of 66 pence; and the vendor has refused to reimberse me the difference.

Obvious copies which I expected as I have official Yale waterways keys and wanted a few budget spares. 2 out of 3 work, will see if I can get the 3rd one to work with a bit of work.Good price but check before you rely on the keys.

I walk my dog on the canal side and riverside in places I walk their are toiletsIf I ever need one or to get a drink of water for my dog it is very useful

I pass a canal toilet on my way into town, and I would like to have access every once in a while ...Right now the toilet is padlocked during lockdown, but the key works the ordinary door lock fine.

It arrived promptly. It’s a key, so I can’t say much about it as I’m yet to test it out. Clearly labelled on the top of the key as to what it is. Nice feature, as I think we’ve all got keys to unknown locks somewhere in our homes!

Handy to have this key should you need the toilet on the canals & rivers ect not tried it yet though.

I ordered this key and it was delivered just 3 days later. It will be of great use when travelling and in my case very useful. I don't need a second key but if I did I would order it on here from the same lock smith. Great service thank you.
