A hair dryer I actually like!
Very nice presentation upon unboxing and it's actually a beautiful dryer. Quite unique looking! I've always had the traditional hair dryer with the standard long nozzle. I know some people said it took some getting used to with the Silk having a shorter/no nozzle. In my opinion, it was easier to handle with no getting used-to period and it made it easier to use the attachments. The short/no nozzle made me feel like I had more control over where I was pointing it when I was using the attachments. The opening of the nozzle in my old dryer ultimately starting cracking because the attachments were a pop on and pop off type. The Silk is a twist on and twist off and very easy to use (a plus!). So I expect the nozzle opening to be the last thing to die. I also really love that the switch is a slide button rather than a push button cause this means no more accidentally changing the settings while drying. Changinf from heat to cool and vice versa is via a small push button but it's in a location where you wont accidentally hit it while the dryer is in operation. As for the noise level, some people said its quieter than other hair dryers. I'd say its just as loud as your standard $30 or $40 Revlon dryer from Target. So for noise level, it's not much of an improvement but that doesn't matter much to me since I'm used to it. The dryer feels sturdy and I feel like it does dry my hair more quickly than my old dryer. The only gripe I have is that the cord is super long. Not necessary for those using it for personal purposes but I can see why they made it as long as they did for professionals. It needs to be long enough to go around a client's chair at a salon. But not a problem on my end with that, I just rolled up the cord and twist tied it to the length I wanted. The cord itself feels pretty heavy duty and the plug is more compact than other dryers because it doesn't have what I think is called overload or surge protector on it? This was definitely worth the purchase and I'm glad I didn't settle for a cheapie dryer at a big box store but also didn't splurge on a Dyson for an insane amount of money. By the way, my employer has a Dyson and her hair looks like crap due to constant dying so a crazy expensive dryer isn't going to help your hair look any better. The Silk is a nice compromise as mid-grade (in terms of cost) for a dryer but its definitely worth every penny and then some. Also, this dryer is a little more compact given the fact that it doesnt really even have a nozzle so it makes storage a lot easier. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Powerful and well made!!
This blow dryer is verry powerful and well made. The price point is amazing and it blow dries my hair super fast. I was looking at the dyson blow dryer but did not wanna spend over 500 bucks! So this is a great alternative!

No more flyaways & EXCELLENT customer service!
I love this hair dryer! I bought one last May because I wanted to be able to have a cooler setting on high as well as hot, and the reviews looked promising. Mostly I end up using the medium setting on hot and it stops the flyaways and gets my wavy hair looking curly when I use the diffuser. It also straightens well with a round brush. My daughter came to visit in October and borrowed it, and loved it so much that I bought her one too. She has crazy curly hair, and she likes to straighten it, and this hair dryer is awesome! I did have an issue with my hair dryer a few weeks after purchasing one for my daughter, and I contacted the seller. It became stuck and wouldn't go to the higher setting. I thought I would be out of luck since it was 7 months since I purchased mine. The seller contacted his engineers and they all thought it was unusual, and they had not come across that problem. The seller contacted me and talked with me on the phone (it is a small family business). He had me purchase the dryer again through Amazon, and then they refunded my money via venmo. I thought it was an odd way to get a refund, but it worked out. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hair dryer!

Great blow dryer!!
I’ve had the blow dryer now for almost a week. It came in beautiful packaging and all the parts felt very high quality. More so than some of the more expensive blow dryers I’ve owned. It’s very easy to use. Has great power/velocity. The heat is great too. Overall i think it’s great value for a salon quality blow dryer.

Don’t waste your money.
Looks nice and sleek. Runs quiet but is absolute crap. I’ve had it less than 3 months and it’s already going out. The handle started getting really hot at the seams but it’s not blowing hot air anymore. Just warm. The back end sucks in your hair too.

Devastatingly efficient, not devastatingly hot.
If you’re looking for high heat, turn elsewhere; this a dryer which provides air hot enough to dry your hair quickly, but not hot enough to damage it. Air speed velocity is more important to the makers of this dryer than heat, and it should be for you, too. Since receiving this dryer my hair has been in better condition, my styling results have been far more in control, and my drying time has shrunk immeasurably; I can’t recommend this product highly enough.

Very happy with this dryer!
I’ve been using this dryer at the salon for a week now and I have to say I love it. Did not want to spend 500 dollars on the Dyson. This dryer comes with the same warranty so I figured I’d give it a try and so far so good. My only dislike is I wish the nozzle attachments could spin but they lock into place. Will just take getting used to it. But I’m very pleased with it so far.
