This thing is fantastic. I have used the kind where you pull a string (Zyliss) and the plunger type (Oxo) and this is far superior. It turns easily and quickly. It is solid and sturdy and feels so when you crank it. In fact it can go a bit too fast if you crank too hard. It seems to balance itself better than most. None of them handle the balance well, but this one is better than the others I have mentioned.I did not think much about the drain or fill hole when I bought it but it is very convenient and I rely on it now — I don't need to remove the lid to drain or fill it with water. It holds two large heads of romaine lettuce easily and you can stuff about a third of another, but it will be tight.It cleans easily. The flywheel detaches from the crank shaft easily so you can clean it if necessary and the rest cleans easily too.The is really one of the better purchases I have made in a while and highly recommend it.

I kept typing SMALL salad spinner and all kinds of stuff would come up from maybe semi small to medium to large size spinners. Just by a fluke it was able to find this, I can't remember how, it must have shown up after a long search on one of the comparison views. Maybe someone wants to hide this genius little gadget in favour of other crap, who knows.This totally fits the bill! Not only is it small enough for me as one person (btw: they also have a larger size), it also works incredibly well. I used to have an OXO spinner a long time ago. It was bulky and didn't dry the salad well, so I donated it and have been drying my salad with paper towels ever since. No longer!! This salad spinner dries the salad very well, is easy to use, sturdy, has a locking mechanism for the lid. In a lot of reviews of other spinners I read, that the bowl was flimsy. Not so on this baby! It's sturdy and has an extra lip, which increases the sturdiness and provides something for the looking mechanism to hook onto. Buy this one!

This salad spinner has a high crank to bowl spin ratio. I mean it really spins the veggies fast, so it does a terrific job of water extraction. It also has a fill hole for water (and your thumb, to hold the spinner steady) as well as a drain grid in the LOCKABLE (Latchable) top cover, which allows you to drain the extracted water without dumping your salad at the same time. I really like that the extractor is transparent so you can monitor the water extraction and depth of the accumulated water. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and does an excellent job. It also holds a LOT of salad. I'm very happy with this one!

Well constructed, easy to used, truly dries out the lettuce and other salad produce put in the basket without much effort. Two enhancements I might have liked: (1) Different fastener in lid that wouldn't get as easily lost or misplaced when you unscrew the spinning lid section for thorough cleaning, (2) a brake to bring spinning to a halt. But it works fine as it is and dries salad products better than others I have owned.

I've only had this a few months & it is my 1st to have & use. It is very easy to rinse clean & dry. It is large enough for what I use it for. It does a great job. I was surprised how very well it worked, water collects in the large bowl & easy to pour out. Inner basket great for rinsing veggies. My grands love helping me spin it! The lid is easy lock & unlatch. So far I've no complaints. Stores well in my bottom cabinet. I use it 2 to 3 times a week.

I read several of the reviews on all the salad spinners before settling on this one; but I have not been disappointed. The Salad spinner was larger than I anticipated, but I guess it is good to have one large enough if having over company. The spinner is sturdy and very easy to use. It is easy to clean and I like the handel on the spinner- you get more “spin” than the effort you make in turning the knob! I initially thought it might be too big for my needs, but I’ve used it at least 3 times since receiving it and I like it better every time I use it. It really works well at getting water off of lettuce and I also think it was more reasonably priced too.

I love this. Wasn't sure that I would- previously, I've had the pull-string type of spinners, and they all had stop-buttons, whereas this one is the crank-type, with NO stop. As it turns out? Doesn't matter, and it's so much better-built, with a LOT of great features. I have never had one of these with a hole up top to add wash water, nor have I ever had one so TOUGH- the bowl on this is not going to crack anytime soon, the basket is HEAVY (and as such, it spins with some decent centrifugal force). I also love that the top disassembles, and all of it will go in the dishwasher for sanitization. Brilliant design, easy to use (once you get used to pinning it down while spinning), and seems like it's going to last a LOT longer than my prior ones. Great find- I now salad us up weekly or more! Try it out- very impressive design.

I love this....I can't believe I limped my old, plastic, hell to clean spinner with the ribbon along for so long, when I could have had this at such a reasonable price. I didn't want to go to the exotic, stainless upper end, so when the old one (finally) died, bought this. I have had it for about a year & it is still like new. It really spins the lettuce dry, is soooo easy to clean, use & lock, & it even has a little opening on the top for your finger to hold it steady while it spins....well worth the price, not to mention removing one less unnecessary stressor from your body & life:):)

Great for rinsing salad ingredients. Sturdy & durable.

Washed salads often cost more, but when I buy salads that need a rinse, they are a pain to dry. This makes it easy, and actually is fun to use.
