Visiomed - VMLX26E ThermoFlash Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer LX-26E

We used this Friday every day scanning of preschool students. This was the only reliable thermometer out of several that we purchased. Though it runs down batteries quickly with constant use ( to be expected ), it has been easy to use , very reliable , and more accurate than thee other brands. In fact , we purchased three more of only this brand .The battery area pops open sometimes , dropping the batteries . This is the only thing that deters from the thermometer, but it is not a big deal compared to the better quality than so many other brands ( we tried five or more other brands ).I would recommend this and only this brand if you want a decent ans easy to use thermometer.

It is not accurate, find I have to add a degree, not good

My nurse recommended this because I have to monitor my temperature regularly and it is the one that her clinic uses. After 6 months, it is no longer working. New batteries. No matter who or where I point it, it says "Lo." It was a bit scary because I was having an episode of extreme chills and my temperature dropped and the thermometer would only read Lo, which made us think my temp was too low to register.

This product is non returnable. It would be best to go inside a store and purchase this item instead of purchasing it online. When I received the one I purchase, the numbers on it were partially unreadable, even with brand new batteries installed. Never will happen again.

Everyone I test is in the 96-98 degree range. It seems to be about a degree too low. I regret buying this.

This is already not reading temperature properly after one month of use. DON'T BUY THIS ONE!

Easier to use than the ear thermometer. It can be somewhat picky about exact location you scan and distance or the results aren't reliable.

Ce thermomètre me donnait des températures différentes à quelques secondes d'intervalle au même endroit.Je l'ai retourné.J'ai pour l'instant laissé tomber les thermomètres sans contact car je ne sais pas s'il existe un modèle suffisamment fiable aujourd'hui. Dommage car ce serait bien pratique pour prendre la température des tout-petits sans les réveiller...
