If you have a 4-R100 transmission in your Powerstroke that shifts hard from 1-2, and 2-3 gear changes, this is the kit to buy! Stiffer springs. Great kit! Don't let the dealership or tranny guys tell you it's a "torque converter" because either they will charge you $1600.00 to simply put this kit in, or they will charge you $1600.00 for a converter and you'll have the same problem as before! I have a built transmission and this was still the week point on the 4-R100. Easy fix!

I've had this valve in my 4R100 behind a 7.3L Powerstroke for over fifteen years, and it performs flawlessly, year after year. Firmed up my erratic shifting. Install the aftermarket springs, too, while you're in there. Makes it a real truck transmission!
