This is my first baking/pastry mat and I love it! Easy to use and clean. I love how the measurements are listed on the mat. Super helpful when rolling out dough. The mat is sticky and sticks to the counter so it doesn’t slide around while you’re using it but easy to pick up and move.

I'm from the era of those stiff plastic ones that rolled up, and skidded all over the counter when you were working with them. I was skeptical of this thing and expected to hate it and return it, but I wanted to give it a try. I have been really amazed. I bought the white with the red print and it is very easy to see, no concerns in that regard. I've used it many times now and it has never disappointed. It sticks to the counter nicely, which is helpful in rolling out dough. A couple times I haven't had to add extra flour because the dough wasn't sticking to this mat. I've done sourdough, challah bread, biscuits, pie crust, cinnamon rolls...I can't remember what all and I've done some of those more than once. I really have found the mat to be much nicer than my old one. I bought the larger one and washing it is a challenge, but I'm figuring that out and that's my problem not a fault of the mat. Storage is much more simple than the old plastic version, fold this up and it takes up much less space. I did cut on it with a knife once, very gently, and didn't damage the mat. I don't think I'd recommend that and don't plan to do it again, I was careful to barely get to the bottom of the dough. I have generally used something dull, such as my bench scraper or another similar tool, and no damage to the mat. I would absolutely recommend this product.

This XL Pastry Mat was just what I needed when I made fresh apricot pinwheels yesterday. The dough for the pinwheels is a sweet biscuit dough that it requires hand kneading and has to be rolled out before the fruit is added. Flour usually ends up everywhere on my countertop and the dough sticks - not this time!!! The silicone surface is easy to work on and any flour I added stayed on the mat rather than floating around in the air. The XL size of the mat allowed me to have room for the mixing bowl and room to roll out dough at same time. Dough didn’t stick to silicone so when it had to be rolled up with the fruit it was easily done without tearing the tender dough.This recipe is usually one I dread doing because of the mess it makes in the kitchen. Using the mat cut my clean up time from 40 minutes to 10 minutes. and my recipe went together more quickly and successfully than it ever has. In addition to all of that, the mat is made of a nice quality silicone that stays flat when in place and is easily cleaned with a soapy dishrag and rinsed. It folds to a tidy size, no bigger than a hardback book, and can be stowed away in a drawer or on a shelf.If you like to bake and hate to clean up the powdery mess of flour, get this mat NOW! I highly recommend it - and go for the XL size it is PERFECT! And for well under $20 this is the kitchen bargain of the month.

Made making pie crust so much easier. You do need to keep it dusted with flour but it worked well and cleaned up nice and easy.

These mats are amazing. It will adhere to a table as if it's glued on and rolling and cutting dough is a breeze. Measurements are convenient and well-placed. Far, far better than using the island or countertop.Clean up is awkward if you have an average sink, but definitely worth it.Have used mine a few dozen times and functions as if new.

I bake a lot of pies and clean up is always a hassle but with this silicone mat, I am able to roll out my pies in a better way and clean up easier. I love the circles guide so i can be more consistent in my crust sizes. Now for cleanup i just pick up the mat, dump the extra crumbs and wash it in the sink - easy peasy. The mat is good quality- if it only it came in teal to match my kitchen. Great price and good quality! Recommended.

I love the size of the mat. I love that it adheres to my countertop. I love the markings on the mat. When making pizza dough, the flour seems “static charged” once I moveThe dough to the pizza stone, covering myself and the floor with floor. Any answers to prevent this would be appreciated.

I use to have a huge wooden counter surface where I would directly work my dough on. Now that my surface is marble I needed something that my dough wouldn’t stick on. This works perfectly and I don’t need to overuse flour which is good to avoid your dough getting too hard. Love this product.

Haven’t used it yet but I really like the clearly marked measurements and the conversion table . Size looks fine for my 9 inch pies dish.

I am using it at the time of making pastry

I've only had this for a few months, but so far I like how it is easy to clean, I simply hand wash it gently as if washing my clothes and hang it to dry. I use this on the moderate but I don't see any signs of tearing...yet.
