100% Steakhouse quality broiler!!!!!
I've been looking for something like this for a while now, but the only other options were the Otto Wilde and the Beefer which both are more than 900.00 retail. I used to work in a stakehouse called Chops in Atlanta and they would cook all their steaks on 15-1600 degree broilers to get a perfect crust. This thing is so easy to use and it gets the perfect char just like a steakhouse. I have a napoleon grill with a searing side burner. It gets really hot close to 1800 degrees but the flavor profile of the steak is comprised because of flare ups. Seems to be built very well with stainless steel. Hopefully I dont have any issues with it dying out. But with all that said, If you are looking to make a steak like the steakhouses then this is the machine for you! I saw in some else's review that the push ignition didn't work. Make sure to put a AA battery in the push ignition and quick push down on the knob when turning. It should fire right up.

The Inferno hits *1500 degrees, and cooks a 1.5-inch ribeye 2 minutes per side to a perfect medium rare.
I have been grilling on the inferno now for the last several days and here are my observations. This machine does hit *1500 degrees, and it cooks a 1.5-inch ribeye 2 minutes per side to a perfect medium rare. However, the device has some quirks. You must place the steak accurately under the burner if you miss "the zone" you side not get the desired results. Also if you use a rub, much of it will burn off by in the intense heat. Propper preparation is critical, forty minutes with a good salt rub will brine the meat and enhance the results. Just realize that your technique must change with this machine. What I don't like, I wish the inferno marked the grill plate so I could hit the cooking zone consistently. Recipies are severely lacking, for example, how do I cook corn or shrimp with this machine? The Inferno has two settings min & max. Bottom line, do I like the Inferno, yes, would I repurchase this, yes.

Winner!
I have wanted a salamander for a long time but there has never been a good option (inexpensive) for the home. Both the OW and the beefer had caught my attention. The Inferno is going to be a big hit. It's a well made, attractive grill at a price point that is reasonable. It's the right size for a couple. I made some tapas on it so far and it really performs. Even though it gets really hot it did not heat up the outdoor space. There are 2 negatives I see so far. The supplied hose is to short and some of the screws had fallen out or are loose. I put a 12' hose on mine and tightened all the screws. The screws have a hex head, a well tooled home has what you need otherwise a trip to the hardware store will be needed for the right tool. A HUGE plus is how easy the cleanup is. It all comes into the house for washing or in the dishwasher. We need a pizza stone for flat breads!Follow up, I have now cooked New York strip to perfection, made sandwiches, nachos and enchiladas. Love this thing!!!!!

High Quality
Arrived well packed, solidly made, no rattles. Lights easily with igniter, gets HOTT fast. Ideal for flame finishing 2”thick sous vide steaks and chops. This is a social event, friends enjoy sizzling their own shrimp, skewers, salmon filets in seconds. My new favorite toy, a party starter. When they make a larger one, I’ll buy that too.

DO NOT BUY! Really poorly designed and absolutely useless piece of garbage.
This InfernoGo is really poorly designed and absolutely useless. I have to state up front I am a trained chef, and I have used other types of Infrared grills/salamanders and most work really well, but are very expensive. this item isn't inexpensive, just less so than the best. I bought on August 7th, 2019. I didn't get a chance to use it for a week, then tried to fire it up, but it took a really long time to light, holding down the igniter, and when it finally lit there was a huge blow out of flame from the front and I lost hair on my arm and almost lost my front hair and eyebrows. I am glad I wear glasses. The steak was very poorly cooked. Seared outside and raw, not rare inside. I changed cooking times for the second steak, same issue. Changed distance from flame, same issues. Ruined some very good prime rib and wagyu rib steaks. I had to go out of town and then tried again tonight. Sept. 29, 2019. Very hard to get to ignite, then it stopped having a flame after I turned the steak. Relit, but it took a while. Ruined another prime rib steak. The return period is over, but I'm going to end up eating the money and throwing out this $300 piece of garbage that ruined $150 worth of steaks.

I love this grill
I love this grill. Have had it for a few days and so far I've cooked rib eye, pork chop, and chicken kabobs. My cooking times were more than in the instructional videos (about 4 mins, flipping every min). Meats cook to perfection and stays moist and tender. This is definitely not a grill that you'd use to cook for more than 2, maybe even 3, people since you can only cook one piece of meat at a time. However for a single person or a couple this is great, or even as a compliment to a larger grill. I don't have a proper backyard, and instead I have some stairs at the back of my house which are not spacious enough for a standard size grill; The Inferno's small footprint lets me roll it out onto my back stairs and roll it back inside after I'm done. Warm up time is super fast (about 2mins), so you can really whip up a quick meal by throwing some meat in this thing and be done eating in less than 30mins. Easy to clean, just throw all the parts in the dishwasher.
