Impactful!
If you loved the first volume, you're going to love this second installment. Not only has the artwork gotten better, but the story has become even more riveting and the romance brewing is dramatic! Just like the last book it shines an insightful and empathetic light on those who live with disabilities, and because of that it may be an emotional read. I couldn't put it down. It's no wonder this series has gained popularity. I can't wait for the third volume!

Absolutely loved this
I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book, the second volume to I Hear the Sunspot. Boy did it bring me on a never ending roller coaster of emotions, ranging from frustration, to tears of sadness, to absolute joy and happiness. And funny enough I turned into one of those people who'd frequently yell at the two main characters, whenever something went wrong, and would gleefully cheer them on vocally whenever they did something good. So much solid character development happened in this volume, compared to the first, and the ending left me feeling pleasantly surprised, leaving me hopeful for a possible third installment to come sometime in the near future.

Best Volume Thus Far, Hits Every Single Note Wonderfully
Theory of Happiness followed the more traditional blueprint for these sorts of romance manga doing little to nothing to stretch its wings beyond the gentlest of softest of entries in the genre. That’s not a ding against it or anything as it’s a really wonderful entry in the ever-evolving relationship between Kohei and Taichi and their feelings without focusing on the more ethically concerning and unsettling aspects that some of the writers like to include in these manga. The introduction of Maya and her muddying the waters between our main characters helped rocket their relationship to a new level. A love confession that Kohei reiterates with Taichi after a really dramatic moment forces Taichi to deal with his feelings. And then Taichi getting a job offer finally gives him a chance to face character growth and some type of maturation with what he wants to do with his life. Together, these pieces of plot add several elements to the story that the first volume lacked, and all of that is with the backdrop of the ever-declining aspect of Kohei’s hearing and the continuing difficulty of those who are only hearing-impaired struggling to find their place in the world. Ultimately, this volume is my favorite of the ones I’ve read so far as it hits every single note that I love.I got the misunderstanding involvement, the blatant confession from Kohei delivered with sign language that just works its way into Taichi’s mind making him finally realize things, and the aspect of time away from one another resulting in Taichi just realizing how much he needs Kohei in his life. Really, this is just plain wonderful and easily one of my favorite Yaoi manga in ages. Like we even got both a hug and a kiss scene that I just love love love to death in these, like, it was enough to make me smile so big and brightly, lol.Overall, really awesome entry.

Sort of Soap Opera like...
I was reading this series out of order. Like how the characters progress as the storyline moves forward. But left feeling this is really melodramatic. There has to be melodrama in an otherwise slice-of-life type of genre. The melodrama between the two leads feels forced. Wishing it didn't rely so much on melodrama to create tension between the two leads. The drama feels forced. I'm ok with the two leads and the progression of their relationship.Pros: characters are developed and feel real. I like the lead guy who quits college - I forgot his name.Cons: melodrama feels forced. Like there's just so much melodrama...I went through three volumes, peeked into the 4th and wish it would do without the unnecessary melodrama: jealousy, nonexistent love triangles, misunderstandings...

Just so freaking adorable
A great sequel to the first manga volume? of this series. I love where Fumino took the story, and our newest character Maya she was hilarious in her destructiveness to the mc’s. The only bad thing about this book is the dialogue is a bit clunky in some parts. But that only happens sporadically in some of the earlier chapters, and it in no way takes away the joy from the story.

I can't wait for the third installment
Okay so I just bought this one and the first one and I had heard there was going to be a third one before I bought them. I just want to say this is one of the best BL I have ever read. It's calmer, respects boundaries, and is wholesome. The BL isn't all up in our face, which I like a lot, and is shown more of the friendship in a relationship rather than dominance and sexual attraction. The characters I think are well written out as well as how their lives are. The back stories are pretty paced and so far has shown us the general story. I can't wait for the third installment. It's coming out around Christmas so I totally know what I'm going to be getting myself.

Acceptance and love
Such a stunning and moving story. As the characters grow and change during their college years, they begin to face their futures as well as themselves. The message of being empathetic and caring is still the most prominent feature. Anyone with interest in a true romance story that features more about wanting happiness than simply wanting a mate, you need to read this.
