Nice straight forward design. It is nice the ball can be turned over and allows for a flat bed. I am using it with a 20,000 lb trailer, no issues so far with 700 actual towing miles on the hitch. During install it can be done by ones self with ingenuity or a second set of hands. I had to do the install by myself. After cutting out the 4" hole, I placed the plate under the truck, set up two jack stands with a pipe acrost them centered over the hole in the bed of the truck. I hooked a ratchet strap to the center hole in the plate, ran the strap up through the 4" hole to the pipe and secured it. Next I raised the plate using the strap, then when the plate was close to position I began ratcheting it. You may have to go below and above several times to get the plate into final position, but once it is, start bolting it together.

The bar to pull the pin holding the ball was catching metal, but I was able to pull it most of the way out and bend it down a little. Installation should be a 2 person job, which I wasn't smart enough to get the second person. If you're gonna be dumb, you'd might as well be tough, so I toughed my way through it.The idiot guide may not have mentioned loosening the bed bolts, but loosen the 8 bed bolts. Also pull the spare tire out. That gives all the room to get things put loosely in place.Have a torque wrench to torque the bolts to 90 lb ft. I have a 1/2" drive with adapter to fit the 3/4" socket with 3/8 drive. One of the bolts doesn't have clearance to put the socket onto for proper torquing. For that one, I put a wrench and tightened until it felt like something was just about to strip out.Props to the seller for the shipping. I ordered on a friday at lunchtime, went for free shipping, expectation of delivery from wed-fri the next week. It was waiting for me when I got home from work on the monday, literally next business day from ordering, and 2 days early. I still didn't have time to do anything about it, except bring it inside.The idiot guide (instructions) calls out the measurement for the hole in the bed. After reading other reviews that the hole was off, and per the design instructions, I used a slightly oversized holesaw (4-1/8"), also because that is what I already had and I didn't want to buy another one to save 1/8". I have a spray in bed liner, and adjusted my measurement for the extra there. I would advise to anybody else to put the hole about 1/8" to 3/16" shorter than the directions called (closer to tailgate).Also, I had a rattle can of spray in bed liner to touch up around the holes (yes, plural. There are 5 holes made for the installation). Once the 4" hole was cut, sweep the shaving away, then I sprayed the edges of the bare metal with the bedliner to seal them. The other 4 holes, for the u bolts, I oversized the holes by a little with a step bit, then sprayed those with bedliner too. When everything was in place, i put painters tape on the top of the newly installed hitch, cut of around the edges with a razor, and through several applications, mostly filled in the gap around the hitch.

Best built hitch you can buy. Install took almost exactly 1 hr laying on my back in the shop from the time i told the gf i was headed out to work on the truck till the time i was washing up to head back inside. Didnt even use the instructions its very straight forward install.

I didn’t center my hitch just right and the U bolts for the chain clips are not center with the bed line, but it is hard to install by yourself, also, awesome customer service!

This is a great hitch. Extremely well made and will last longer than my truck will.
