Unfollowing You Paperback – Illustrated, February 5, 2019

Absolutely loved it. Anyone who has grown up with social media (like myself) can highly relate to this modern love story. Unlike most disney-type of unrealistic love stories, this book is a story so many of us have actually lived and will most likely relive again. Reading this book was an emotional rollercoaster just as I had hoped it would be! I also love the short length of the book because it was easy to read in one sitting (which my short attention span loved). Not to mention Komal is an artist with her words as you can tell from her instagram @komalesque. The poems which comprise this book range from formal to informal which I was a big fan of because it speaks to how we as humans actually function: unpredictably. It is free-flowing and showcases all of the emotions humans experience in the cycle of romantic love.

A very open and insightful display of what it can be like to open up your emotions and feelings to someone else in today's dating world. Komal uses beautiful poetry to tell a story of a relationship that never was.Stanzas like "I am drowning in the shallow waters of your affection" and others are not only relatable but poetically tragic. I read this 160-page book in 30 minutes, and every minute was worth it. If you're single, take $10 and half an hour to read this book.

I was caught by the first line in this book: "For all the badasses reluctant to show their soft side--you are not alone."I struggle showing my vulnerable, "weak" side and this book out my emotions to the test. Kapoor is able to captivate some of the very thoughts and circumstances we face in modern love and dating with such few words. I experienced many times while reading this book with "Aha's" by how relatable her words struck me. This is definitely a great read for anyone struggling to showcase their emotions. It's a good reminder that our vulnerabilities are not always inherently "negative", but rather, an opportunity for us to feel true to ourselves.

It was an interesting concept, but nowhere near as good as "the Princess Saves Herself" in this one.

A must read/purchase in my opinion!! It is definitely a “modern day” love story told through poetry. It touches every soul in a different way. Amazing how words can make you feel..... and heal.

I received ‘Unfollowing You’ on the perfect day... valentine’s 💗 I sat in front of the fire and I indulged in what felt like my biography with a recent lover. I couldn’t put it down and read the entire book cover to cover in one night... I loved reading Komal’s style of poetry and how it relates so well in this digital era. I’m fascinated with human behavior and relationships and this book is relatable for those of us who’ve experienced confusing love connections

Great read

This book is very relatable to modern dating lifestyle. I believe many females across all ages and cultures and connect. I love the author does not ramble but is straight forward about the storyline.

Such a beautiful book of poems. Highly recommend reading other poems by Komal Kapoor.

Some great lines in this book but overall was left underwhelmed. This could be for a target audience of 17- mid -20s? Some good concepts but a little predictable. Takes less than an hour to read from cover to cover.

I could not put this book down. I adored it. I love the style of writing and how some writings were in text message or email form. It was fun to see. The writing was relatable too and so good. I am glad I read this book.
