Premier Copper Products SB1 Hand Hammered Copper Switch Plate Cover, Oil Rubbed Bronze

Had to break up an old switch to align the switch box screws with the plate screws. No big deal; but it'd be nice if an adapter plate was provided.

I bought several different sizes of these outlet covers. I hesitated because, well, you can get plastic outlet covers for less than a dollar each. But we were re-doing our kitchen and had installed beautiful granite and a copper sink that matches these covers. I'm frugal and had real heartburn over investing in outlet covers. But then I laughed and said to myself "why would you invest $X thousands of dollars on new cabinets (assembled ourselves), granite, a gorgeous sink, a unique backsplash (installed ourselves) real hardwood floors...and then add the finishing touch of the normal 59 cent plastic outlet covers? We had done as much of the work ourselves as we could, so I splurged in these--and I'm SO glad! They're beautiful and they enhance the kitchen...the perfect finishing touch. They're solid...very substantial, very high quality.Also, I see that the purchase supports a good cause.

The holes do not line up with a standard electric box. I bought a wall switch at the local hardware store and removed the switch part with a screwdriver and pliers, leaving only the metal plate. The copper cover fit just fine after attaching this metal plate to the electric box. The distributor should have included an adapter for this purpose.

The plates are slightly darker than I thought they would be, but are still very beautiful.

This plate is beautiful! But the holes do not match to those on my electric box. My wife and I really wanted to use these but somehow the holes are far too close together.
