Evergreen web were so helpful, from start to finish. Answering my many questions courteously and promptly. I couldn't have asked for better service.I asked for non-standard legs (40cm) and I they supplied them within the price, I just had to wait an extra week.Surprisingly strong and rigid frame. No problem with nuts being under the end slats as one buyer mentioned. However, I think Evergreen web should update their photos, as the design has obviously changed slightly since the information was written. With 14 x 7ply slats, (in the 190 x 90 version), 6.8cm wide and with 5.4cm gaps between the slats. The slats are slotted into plastic "sleeves" in the frame. The legs have plastic push-on feet, and plastic inserts above the threaded inserts, they bolt securely to the four corners with the supplied bolts. I added locking washers, hopefully to prevent the bolts loosening with time. The only part that isn't impressive is where the weld on the frame has simply been finished with rather poor quality black PVC tape, (last photo). For the price, to drop to four stars for that, seemed churlish. I'm 13.5 st/ 86Kg and my mattress is 21Kg, so combined weight + bedding, is just under 110Kg, and there's no creaking or any signs of stress from the frame. I love it.(In case you missed it, there is also an even sturdier version for over 125Kg, for about double the price. Look for "EvergreenWeb XXL Orthopaedic Extra Strong Steel Frame")

Bed frame is great and sturdy. Legs are easy to add on. Seems very good quality and comfortable. Also a bonus you don't have to assemble anything.BUT, if you stay in a flat that's not ground floor and you're not prepared to carry this upstairs yourself - get someone to help you. The delivery guys won't take it farther than outside their van.Also, if you order from the UK be prepared to get an addition import tax bill a month later - mine was £54. That was not a very pleasant surprise (as it's 1/3 of the frame's price) and I believe the seller should include the possibility of additional payments in the item description.I am not sure if I would have considered buying it if I would have known about the additional costs in advance as I was looking for the cheaper frame without buying flimsy crap.

Nice compact design, but could only ever be used as an occasional sleeping solution, or as a child's bed with the use of a topper as well.After anything more than a week of use, you will experience back ache. The mattress is too thin to provide real comfort. As an adult you will feel the slats through the mattress.It's well made, but for the money you'd be better buying a thicker and more rigid foam mattress and simply having this on the floor. To get a separate thicker foam mattress for this bed defeats the object of a folding bed, so go for a rigid mattress. It'll be cheaper and more comfortable.

We live in an apartment and we wanted to create some more space. Got an idea where we could create approx. 0.5 m3 volume of space just by removing the dewan bed and replacing with this four-legged sturdy bed. ( for reference a standard check-in baggage is approx 0.13m3 of volume). I know dewan bed had drawer but the size was limited and you cannot put a full suitcase underneath. Finally, we have this bed now and using the space for a lot of things which could have never kept underneath. Moreover, it is light and sturdy and nothing can go wrong with this product. Cheers.

It's very hard to find out the pros and cons of slatted bed bases v solid bases and this manufacturer provides no guidance about the advantages of its own products nor the differences between their two very similar but differently priced items. Some websites recommend covering the slats with a sheet of ply in order to prevent pinching the mattress but this seems to me to defeat the object of a slatted base by converting it to a solid base. Some slatted bases have totally rigid slats but the slats on the Evergreen product are very springy indeed which is exactly what I wanted and I have indeed laid a thin sheet of semi-rigid plastic insulation material over the central part of the bed base. The bed is a basic support for a mattress and it seems to be fairly well put together but it is not heavy duty by any stretch of the imagination and the durability of the slats remains to be seen - I can't see any way to replace any slat which might break.

This pre-slatted bed base is just what we needed - a simple, sturdy bed which was easy to assemble by just screwing the legs on. I made the mistake of ordering an 80cm wide one when I should have ordered the 2ft 6" small single (75cm) but the company couldn't have been more helpful, I was really impressed, they exchanged it without hesitation and kept in contact the whole time which was really helpful. We had decorated my daughters very small bedroom white but she wanted some black accents like a black curtain pole, etc., and this black metal bed was the perfect addition though to be honest once the mattress and bedding are on you can't really see it but more importantly it just fitted the tight space and thankfully because the legs stand just inside the bed frame it means they fit just inside the skirting board (thanks to a previous reviewer who mentioned this). There is also good clearance under the bed so we can slide 29cm high storage boxes underneath. I would definitely recommend this bed and would certainly purchase from this company again. Packaging okay - no scratches or damage. Very happy customer and a very happy daughter!

I was primarily looking for a bed frame that would not take additional space round the mattress and found this gem for a really good price. I've got two of these now. Less than 5min to assemble. Worth mentioning that the screws are hidden in one of the legs ;) A true bargain! Would recommend to anyone looking to make the most of the space.
