The Ayurvastram Hand Embroidered Tunic is perfect. I ordered extra large in black, and it fit exactly as I'd hoped. I wanted a cool, loose fitting top that could be paired with summer slacks or capris. This tunic fits the bill perfectly. It's made of very lightweight cotton and well constructed. My first time wearing it was on a fairly hot day (88 degrees), and it was quite comfortable. I like the rounded neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. I dress modestly, so a long tunic suits my taste, although some I've purchased tend to shrink quite a bit, especially if they're 100 % cotton. I've washed this one twice now--once before and once after wearing it--and there was little or no shrinkage; however, because the cotton is so lightweight, it does cling a bit. I don't like ironing, so I dried it on warm setting with a few other items until it was nearly dry, then put it on a hanger to finish. While not wrinkle-free, its looks fine for wearing around the house and running chores. Overall, it's a terrific tunic for everyday wear.

FIRST of all- I looked at ALL, well a lot of reviews, the ones where ladies GAVE US their measurements and skipped reviews like- pretty, lovely- I beg gals to put your measurements- if comfortable- or at least let us know where it is tight, loose- anything helps. THANK YOU for all who did this!!~I am 5'7", I wear a 34 DDD, and generally a size 10-12 in pants, and L or XL in tops. I read reviews, looked at the measurement requirements and ordered a size 14, chest measurement 40"- perfect- NOT! The chest was tight, and the arms felt restricting.~The blouse is STUNNING!!!! The embroidery work is detailed, front and back, really a beautiful Kurti. I was pretty bummed it didn't fit.~I went back again to look at sizes, and found a **14W- giving me **2 more inches in the chest! I returned the 14 and ordered the 14W.~If you have a larger chest they have a 'W' which gives 2 more inches in the chest area alone. I did not want to get a size 16, it gave only 1 ½" plus might be big elsewhere.~These DO run small, order a SIZE UP at least (unless you are very very slim), and if larger in chest add the W size.~ Boy I do not like to return or exchange, but when in doubt about something I am super careful handling so it will go back perfect.~When the 14W comes in I will post a pic. I want you to see how beautiful this blouse is. Perfect for leggings, something fitted below. I am super happy with the quality and will buy again from this company. The price went up by a dollar in two days, so RUN and buy more! ha!UPDATE*** The 14 W fits PERFECTLY- so much better than 14!

Just beautiful and fits well. Fabric is linen and I washed it by hand and hung to dry. did not want to risk shrinkage.

I'm really glad I read reviews and saw this runs small. I ordered it for a Yoga retreat and need something loose enough to do Yoga in. Despite being several sizes up from mine it will just fit across the chest- would not work if the chest were smaller. The material is sheer so if you order and light color you will need a cami. The embroidery is gorgeous. I may order a darker color also but a larger size. This works but just barely for Yoga.

I love this item and it seems well made. I am sending it back for a replacement because based on reviews I ordered up but I normally wear an 8 or 10. The 14 was too small! I am not sure it was defective but still, I would like to have a size 16 sent to see if that works better. It seems ludicrous that I would wear this large of a size but maybe they are all this way and the sizing is just different? Please replace this item with a size 16. Thank you for the fast shipment and high quality item!Update: I was sent a size larger right away. It was quite a bit bigger, but it is what I wanted just in case it shrank when washing/drying it. It is so comfortable and totally cute with leggings, boots and a scarf... and totally hides any bulges- if you know what I mean? :) So happy with the quality that I went searching for a black one, same size and style. Found it on eBay with the information the owner game me! Just received that one tonight. Happy Kurti buyer! Thank you

After reading the reviews I decided to order this blouse one size larger than I normally do. "Normal" being the questionable word. The issue is that manufacturers vary greatly and so does style and fit. Sometimes I am too busty for an 18/20. So, typically I wear a 22/24 which can sometimes be just right, and sometimes be too large. Likewise with the X sizes. I never can fit into an X-large: occasionally 2X will fit, but I am much more comfortable in a 3X. With all that in consideration, I ordered a 26. Even after I placed it in the dryer it was still too large. Large like a maternity top large. Part of that may be due to style. This is not to be worn tightly. However, it is such a beautiful blouse, I decided to make it work.The embroidery on the blouse is incredibly beautiful, and nothing like anything I own. I am 5' 5" and it hits me mid thigh, similar to the model in the photograph. It easily covers my bum. I am super conservative when it comes to wearing leggings, so I wore these with jeans. However, I think I am going to take the plunge and give it a shot with leggings.It certainly needs to be pressed with a steam iron. It's 100% cotton. This should be expected. The fabric is not sheer. I ordered this blouse in white, also. It is similar to a white t-shirt in transparency. I wore a flesh colored bra and had no need for a cami or tank top underneath.The sleeves are 3/4" in length.This blouse is the nearest thing to perfection I have worn in a long time!

beautiful embroidery. only problem is it runs small. i normally wear a size 20. i ordered big on the safe side. so glad i did. it fit, but was a bit small through the shoulders.

Poor finishing. The white thread work is not a bright white it looks like it have suffered the dye of the fabric. Overpriced!

The colour wasn't the that seen on the screen- it was more of a tobacco colour but still very nice. The material is delicate but that is fine as I want it for when I go abroad. I am between sizes so ordered the larger size and the top fits beautifully. I haven't washed the top yet but if it washes well, I will certainly buy another in a different colour.

Ich habe die gleich in mehreren Farben, in diesem heißen Sommer waren die einfach super. Leicht und fein auf der Haut, einfach zu waschen (sogar Fettflecken sind bei 30° rausgegangen) und zu Shorts, Leggins oder Jeans sehen die Blusen immer angezogen aus. Ein paar Ketten dazu und fertig ist das Outfit für den Sommerabend.

Went according to size chart and fits perfect. Very comfortable and love the detail of the embroidery! I am very happy with this purchase. Looks super cute with leggings and my favourite pair of boots.
