Somewhat misleading product photo
This dog seat belt is okay and does work but only really in the back seats of your car as this is just not safe in the front seat. the picture that shows it held taught is pretty misleading as the belt, in reality, is too short to attach to anything and restrict your dogs range of movement like the picture shows. The little orange info panel is very cleverly placed to cover that fact up. On the other hand, it is also too long to be safe if you have a dog prone to moving about, as it is just about long enough to allow your dog to jump onto the driver's lap from the passenger seat, or in a worse scenario, all over the handbrake and gear stick. Like I said, in the back seat of your car, sure this works and is actually about the ideal length to allow your dog a bit of space to roam from side to side on the seat, without being long enough to allow it into the front of the car, but in the front seat like the image shows? Absolutely not safe, at least not with my dog who can be a hyperactive little monkey at times. Otherwise, if you are wanting to buy this for the back seat of your car, this is great. Well made material that won't be easily chewed through, if at all and the elastic is a good idea and very firm. I would say for a small to medium dog, in the back seat of your car, very recommended, five stars, but due to the misleading picture, I can't justify giving it more than three.

Stop my car shouting at me
We stopped using a car harness for my dog years ago when he learned to undo the seatbelt clip. He just sits calmly curled up on the seat, which is fine when he is in the back of the car, however if he is on the front seat then unless I clip the seat belt in place it screams at me constantly beeping that my passenger isn't belted in. As you can imagine this is distracting. This is a perfect little solution. Clip it in, happy car. It also actually long enough for my sprocker spaniel and so I do clip it to his harness as well.My only negative is the webbing it's made from isn't very durable so if you have a chewer it won't last long

No real instructions
So I know this item seems pretty self explanatory, but there’s no real instructions of how to use it, so you kinda have to work it out yourself. The item itself is well made and sturdy, the stitching is good quality and doesn’t look like it would come apart easily. The seatbelt end obviously clips into the seatbelt part in the car, and the other end clips onto the dogs harness (I wouldn’t recommend this clips onto a dogs collar as it could damage the dogs neck with any sudden movement from an accident), then we kinda worked out before clipping the item onto the dogs harness you’re to feed it through a seatbelt first. If you look at the front of the book there is a sticker right over the part where potentially you would feed it through the seatbelt, yet the seatbelt isn’t shown and the sticker obscures this. We fed it through the seatbelt and tried pulling the seatbelt quickly ie. mimicking sudden movement say from an accident and the seatbelt stayed tight and didn’t move. So the item itself is great, it just would have been so much easier to have some basic instructions and better packaging ie. no sticker, or include a seatbelt, as opposed to trying to fathom it out yourself as I’m sure some people could easily get it wrong.

Really good for keeping the dog safe
We have a different set of harnesses that have gone into my car but we got these for use in my wife's car. They keep the dogs nice and safe on the back seat and give us a feeling of security because the dogs are safer. The very easy-to-use and the dogs don't seem to mind them at all and the peace of mind you get from using them is well worth having.

Pet safety
It is now a legal requirement to have a pet safety seatbelt. These ensure the dog is safe when you are driving, preventing them from distracting you or crossing onto your lap and possible causing an accident. It has a 360 degree rotational clip which is easily attached. Be sure to attach to a harness only to avoid harm rather than collar. These ones in particular are great as they have an elasticated bit that gives extra length but also pulls them back if they pull too much. This design will help absorbs shocks or jolts from sudden breaks. The length can be adjusted to provide less movement or made longer if it is a larger breed of dog. Every pet owner needs one, it is priced at £8.99.

Ideal for purpose
I love the simplicity of this. It’s essentially a lead with a seatbelt clip on the end. Genius!! It’s great knowing my little pup is secured in the back seat and feels part of the family (instead of in the crate in the boot). It’s made of a good quality fabric and feels sturdy and safe. Can’t vouch for it in the long term but can’t imagine we are going to have any problems with it.
