I've read rave reviews about this towel from the curly community and after my first use of this unique towel I can certainly see why. I could never get the hang of using t-shirts that would constantly fall off and become frustrating and I couldn't quite reason with myself to get one of those little microfiber caps that are made out of coral fleece because that fabric always felt so cringey when it would get wet. After seeing this on a Manes by Mell video, I poured over any curly girl video I could find and after Curly Susie's honest review I was convinced that this was the towel for me.First, the brush. While I was waiting for my towel to wash and dry I experimented with the brush. It is Ahhhmazing! Soft to the touch, long and flexible bristles and does wonders wet or dry, just as it said. It was excellent using it dry for gently working my natural oils through my hair as well as working creams and leave in through when it was wet.The towel. It doesn't seem like it could dry as much as it does from its thin appearance so I could understand the skeptiscm, but it is both wonderfully lightweight and absorbent, and when it's locked in- it. does. not. budge. Compared to a regular Terry cloth towel, you don't have to do that awkward head balance while doing things, it is such a strangely relieving feeling. You can even Bob your head along to your favorite tunes while rocking this towel so it's extra rad.And as for the results, my hair dried the perfect amount in minutes, my curls are sleek and poppin' and I couldn't be more impressed. I'm so glad I found this towel before I bought a cheaper microfiber towel.The only negative- I am a little wary about the cinching strap as it wasn't really sewn very well, it has a hole in it where the sewing just completely missed the mark that I'm worried will catch and tear away. I saw in a few other reviews that this was the towels really only issue so I hope the manufacturer puts a little more care in securing these as the towel and the perfect haircare company seem to be pretty on point and with just a slight attention to detail on the cinch would make these just superb!I would highly recommend this towel and brush set to anyone, especially curly girls who want to add that cherry on top of their everyday routine.

Boy was I wrong! I had been using an old t-shirt to dry my hair & wasn't wowed by the results, so my expectations were pretty low when I ordered this towel on the recommendation of a YouTuber named Courtney. I was truly surprised by the effectiveness of this towel! The amount of water it leaves in my hair is the "perfect" amount, not too wet, not too dry...just right (said Goldilocks). I have seen a significant reduction in frizz. Now to be fair, I couldn't wait to try both the towel and the brush so I've not experimented with them independently. I can't tell you if I would have the same results if I had only purchased the towel & not the brush, so it's a good thing that I didn't have to choose, they came as a dream team, ready to make my hair dreams come true! The towel sort of feels like an old school car shammy, smooth & slightly cool to the touch. Unlike a shammy, it absorbs the moisture, not just moving it around. The Perfect HC Towel somehow manages to evenly soak up just enough water so I don't end up with dry spots & overly wet spots...so weird! I use the brush in the shower to distribute my conditioner evenly & let me tell you...! It glides through my collarbone length 1A Fine- 3B Coarse (thanks Mom & Dad) hair like buttah. You won't regret purchasing this set, worth every penny! Oh! Make sure to follow the directions on washing the towel before using, I ordered the pink set so color bleeding wasn't an issue for me, but I think it absorbs better now that I've washed it. I can't wait for them to offer more color choices, I'll be first in line!

And that's a good thing. I want to mention this up front. If you are used to a terry towel, and you find that works fine for you, then don't get this towel. It will not be as absorbent as a regular towel. I bought this because it came highly recommended by a YouTuber with wavy hair like mine, and I thought it would be nice to replace the cotton t-shirts I was currently using.If you have textured hair, are hoping to minimize frizz, maybe using a t-shirt now (CGM), then this might be the one for you. I use the towel as part of my styling routine. "Plopping" in this towel allows your styling gels, curl enhancers, mousses, etc. to fully penetrate the hair and help form those clumps. I'm still experimenting, but I have found that if I "plop" for 10-15 minutes, and then scrunch (or micro-plop) with it a bit more I can get enough water out (but not too much) to allow me to air dry the rest of the way. If I leave the towel on for too long, too much water is released from my hair which makes those stray hairs pop up, and I get frizz. That's not the towel's fault though.The towel is made out of the same very fine microfiber that many eyeglass cleaning cloths are made from. It is very soft and more absorbent than a t-shirt, but far less than a normal towel. The tie is very easy to use and I have had no problem with the towel falling off even when I wear it around the house for a short period of time; it really stays put. It is so much lighter and less bulky than a bath towel, and comfortable enough to wear for an extended time should you want to.The brush is nice for wet detangling and distributing product. The "bristles" are very flexible. My hair detangles very easily so I can't say how this would work on hair that is much curlier or coarse than mine. I bought this set for the towel, so I consider the brush a bonus.
