and I have had occasions where lack of patience got the better of me
Works well for my 3D printer bed, although it can be a bit tough to install on the glass. The "Windex Method" works VERY well with this tape. It is a little thin though, and I have had occasions where lack of patience got the better of me, causing me to rip the tape and wind up wasting a bit to get back to a clean, full width area of the roll. I know Kapton is thin stuff, but I also can't say I've had this problem with other rolls of Kapton I own, I suspect this is due to the width of the tape. This tape does NOT cover my entire print bed (200mm x 200mm bed) as the tape is about 159mm wide, but I typically do not cover my whole bed, so this is not an issue for me.I have found the best way to install this on my glass is to do the following:- Put the glass on a table that Windex won't bother or damage- Stick the edge of the roll to the table behind the glass, letting the roll sit on top of the glass for now- Stretch out tape so that the roll is now sitting on the other side of the glass- Apply Windex to glass (lift the roll of tape up)- Now cut the tape to the desired length, apply to glass, remove air bubbles and such as normal.

Best adhesion possible
I get the best adhesion of any other method I've tried with ABS 3D printing. I use this tape in conjunction with ABS "Juice" (dissolved ABS plastic in acetone). Put the tape on the bed, use a paper towel to wipe a thin layer of ABS Juice over the top. I've printed huge parts using this method where before the plastic would warp and curl up off the bed. Where glue sticks and hair spray have failed, this has succeeded. The only problem I've really experienced is that it can work a little too well. It's hard to get the parts free. I always end up tearing the tape, so I have to use a new piece with each print. The tape is a little frustrating to get on the bed with no air bubbles. Worth it to get warp free prints though.

a bit thin for some printers
This tape may be a little too thin to use on a heated platform. (Flashforge Dreamer). The tape adhesive does not hold well after ABS printing. It can be smoothed out while still hot.

Very pleased, and the tape can even be used a ...
Doesn't tear if removed from the roll with patience. Air bubbles can be minimized or avoided entirely if applied with care and patience. I stick one end of the tape on the build plate, and use the putty knife to slowly apply the tape. ABS sticks VERY well with 80°C open air bed, using a ROSEART glue stick. ROSEART is the only brand I've tried, and I'll stick with it because of how well it keeps the first layer on the build plate. Very pleased, and the tape can even be used a couple of times before needing to be replaced if you calibrate the plate well enough, but assuming one print per tape, you can get 100 6"x12" prints from the roll.

Incredible Tape!!
I love this tape! I have used the painters tape and glue both by themselves and together and this tape is AMAZING!!! It took a little bit of time for my first application but after a changing it couple times i can get it done in a couple of minutes using an old ID card I had. This tape will last a long time on the plate especially when you are careful removing your part. I will absolutely buy it again!!!!

You're making a bad purchase.
It's completely unusable. If I pull, it rips... when I manage to get it to come off in one piece (extremely difficult) it takes so much force that the tape stretches and is no longer straight. The ONE time I got it even close to being a decent piece, it wrinkled when I tried to apply it to the heat bed. It is BEYOND bad.

Good product at a good price
It is exactly as described. I have not had any issues in applying it to the bed. The material is thin, but thick enough to do the job. Have no problems with tearing or bubbling. No need to pay more. Works perfectly.

Pain the Butt Kapton Tape
Yes it's Kapton Tape, It works well with the adhesion ( print in nothing but ABS) and after the second print I ended up having to use ABS juice (ABS slurry some call it) to continue to use it. Pain in the ass to unroll, pain in the ass to work the water (soapy and also plain tryed) from under it. Do not use anything that has a sharp edge to pop the print off of this stuff because it will tear it and then your having to go thru the whole process of removing it (pain in the ass) and putting more on. If you using a glass bed save you money and go buy some glue sticks, easy to put on, last thru lots of prints (have printed 20 times without reapplying it).
