Let's Go 3 Student Book with CD: Language Level: Beginning to High Intermediate. Interest Level: Grades K-6. Approx. Reading Level: K-4 (Let's Go (Oxford))

According to the book, there are 2 CDs with lots of listening exercises. In reality, there is only one CD included as if the book and the CD were of different editions. Some exercises cannot be done without those audio tracks. For example, page 20 has 2 interesting listening exercises that should be accompanied by "CD 1 - 44" and "CD 1 -45." On the CD that is included there are no tracks at all that relate to page 20. The whole page with 2 listening exercises that would be great for the material review, is useless. That is just one particular example. 50% of the book is useless because of the abovementioned reason. What a shame!

We've used a variety of books and workbooks to teach my son English (his first language is Japanese). The hardest thing has been motivation. He has really enjoyed Let's Go. Thanks to this book & workbook and his hard work, he recently passed 英検4級, and is now working towards the next level.

Proprio quello che cercavo per mia Figlia ad un prezzo conveniente anche se ci è voluto qualche giorno in più per averlo

小さい子供向にとても良く出来た教材だと思います。1ユニットごとに肯定文から始まり否定文や疑問文に展開していく中で、主語を変えたり目的語を変えたりと反復練習が何度もできます。文法を知らない子供でも感覚的に英語の文の仕組みが理解できるようになっていると思います。ただし、4th Editionになってフォニックスのページが導入された分、例文の量が減った様です。個人的には3rd Edition のほうがより沢山の反復練習ができてやり甲斐があった様に思います。会話の内容は幼稚園児から小学校低学年向けという感じでしょうか。事務的なので高学年の子供には面白みが足りないかもしれません。9歳のうちの子供にはもっとストーリー性のあるテキストが良かったみたいです。最後に、オックスフォード出版から出ているのでイギリス英語または標準的な英語のテキストだろうと思い購入しましたが、コテコテのアメリカ英語でした。アメリカでしか使わないボキャブラリーや言い回しが結構でてきますので、アメリカ以外への留学を希望されている方はご注意ください。

Starterから使っています。CDの音声教材が、Level１まではテキストの内容をとぴったり合った内容だったのに、Level2と今回購入したLevel３ははしょられていたり、表示されている番号と違ったりして探さないといけません。本誌の内容は子供向けとしてはちょうどいいかと思っています。
