3rd Time Returning Customer!
I actually found this product from an affiliate website that I frequently shop from. This is going to be my third time purchasing this specific fan, but it’s important to know that I’m buying this again, NOT because the other two does, but because I’ve found myself needing that many more. The first one I bought lasted me a couple years before I gave it away to a colleague of mine in the office we work at. Second time purchasing was for my home office and to replace the one I gave away, but now I use it at my bedside to blow onto me throughout the night (my significant other doesn’t care for moving air). This was a little over a year ago. I’m excited to see that the seller FINALLY has these back in stock, as I’m buying two this time. One for my home office set up since I use the last one in my bedroom, and the other to more quickly dry various hand-washed things throughout our home (baby bottles, spot-cleaned carpet, delicate clothing, etc).Assuming this purchase is just like the first two, I’d give this a 6/5 stars. SUCH a great investment and a surprisingly high level of quality for such an inexpensive price point. I’ve tried other kinds of portable fans and am ecstatic that this particular one is available again.

Top quality fan
A top-quality, all metal fan (except for the feet and the fan blade itself.) This is a nice sturdy unit that pushes air just fine for spot cooling or circulation. The cord is removable and the rear of the fan has the power requirements on it, 6 volts / 10 watts, which means it pulls about 2 amps. If you need more air moved than this fan, you need to get an AC powered unit and quit trying to pull off USB power.I don't understand what some of the other reviewers were complaining about. Most people know that USB produces 5 volts at up to 3 amps, but that USB power is divided among all the ports. So if you overdraw your ports in total (and this fan would certainly contribute more than a fair share of the power draw) then you stand a real chance of burning your USB ports out. Using this fan on a desktop is no problem, but if you use it on a laptop with perhaps two USB-powered hard drives and an optical mouse, and you could have some real problems. This is a spot cooler, and if your laptop needs a constant external cooler, I recommend a laptop cooler instead. In that case, I'd recommend this:http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-NotePal-Configurable-R9-NBC-8PBK-GP/dp/B002NU5V4A

Works Fine But the Cord is Cheap
I purchased this thing on a risk. It worked great for a while but I would notice intermittently that I would plug it in and nothing would happen. Moving the position would sometimes help, other times messing with the cord would work. Eventually it just stopped working and I have not been able find a replacement cord so now I will be finding a replacement product. If it were not for this issue, I would absolutely love this fan.

Great little fan
I was mislead to think these were battery operated but they weren't. That's ok. They're actually pretty good.

Damaged my computer
This fan regularly caused my laptop to shut down unexpected. It happened a few times and I should have taken the hint: it eventually fried my computer. Fortunately, it was just the computer's power cord and adapter that needed replacing and the internal components of the computer itself were ok. Still not worth the risk and hassle to use a product that will power down your computer at best, damage it at worst.
