simple, effective. HERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS - read
Okay, first of all here are the easy instructionsInstructions: (amazon wouldnt let me post a link so here are step by step instructions)Before you get started, here's a list of things you'll need:- Door stop- Screwdriver or point chisel- HammerWith that, follow the simple steps below to install a hinged door stop in no time!Step #1: Decide whether you want to install the door stop at the door's top hinge or at its bottom hinge.Step #2: Close the door to keep it in place while working.Step #3: Place the tip of a screwdriver or a point chisel at the bottom end of the hinge pin.Step #4: Tap the head of the screwdriver or chisel with a hammer to back out and remove the hinge pin from the hinge.Step #5: Install the hinge door stop in its place. Insert the hinge pin part of the stopper into the hinge holes. Tap the head of the hinge pin with a hammer to secure it in the hinge.Step #6: Open the door to test the stopper. Screw it in to decrease the stopping distance if the door isn't opening wide enough. Screw the stopper out to increase the stopping distance if the door is opening too wide and the doorknob still hits the wall. You've now successfully installed a hinged door stop!Picture of what it should look like: (again they took down my picture link). The round rubber stopper should be toward the door frame and the rectangle rubber stopper on the door itself.I installed in in 2 minutes. It's easy and it works!

Effectively Stops the Door - But May Leave an Indentation in the Door Frame
This is a very effective door stop that stops well and is easy/flexible to install - but it does leave an indentation in the door frame over time. For my application this was ok - the alternative would have been door knobs that dented my refrigerator or damaged the door to my front load washing machine. The indentation has been small - it has left a small circular indentation in my door frame that is not very noticeable (and joins the list of many other dings and scratches in my frame over time!). And other door stop solutions I tried never effectively stopped the door! These will stop the door right where you set it and I have never had damage to my expensive appliances! So I would recommend these door stops for applications where you really need to effectively stop the door and are ok with some indentation in the door frame - where the benefit of stopping the door outweighs the cost of a small indentation.

So far, so good!
I wanted something that would protect our drywall, but look subtle and integral to the door, rather that something attached to the wall or baseboard. These door stops look great on my doors, which have oil-rubbed bronze hardware & knobs. I like that they are adjustable, so you can allow the door to swing wider, if desired (see pic of bathroom door where there is no adjacent wall).I am a bit skeptical about their longevity. When tested, the doors do not come to an immediate stop, like they would with a door stop installed on your baseboard. Instead, the door feels a little "bouncy" or "spongy". In other words, the door comes to a stop, but has a couple of inches of "give" to it, so we adjusted the door stops accordingly. They seem like they'll serve their purpose fine with normal use. I certainly would not put a lot of pressure or weight on them or swing the door open forcefully. Maybe something to consider with kids/teens;).

Good, but don't pay $4+
The price on these is frequently adjusted. Just put it in your cart and wait for the price to go down to a reasonable level (~$2).I use these all over the house. They are great for light doors (e.g. closets, half baths), but I wouldn't use one on a bedroom or external door. Additionally, you will also want to consider an alternative if you have nice molding. The hard rubber ends on these dig into our molding a little bit, but we don't really care since it is the builder's grade stuff. The standard hinge pins are easily pulled out with these on, but I haven't had any problems yet with the pins actually coming out unexpectedly.

Looks good and works good
Not too much to say. They look decent and they work.Installation tip: the flat plastic protector goes against the door and the rounded stopper goes against the door frame or wall. These look much better then the shiny brass ones that are carried locally at my hardware store. They aren't complex and they work as advertised. If you put them on a door that could open 180° you won't be able to adjust these to allow that much opening. The max angle these seem to allow is about 125°.Why not five stars? No installation instructionsNot adjustable past 125° (Not a huge deal, but I have one door I wanted to let open more then that.)

Saves doors and walls
I used these in a few places in the house where a door stop type would not work. The front door, closets in the hallways etc.Takes up very little room, and very discreet. I had just remodeled the house so was eager to keep the doors and walls as pristine as possible. We get a lot of visitors so they are not always as careful as the inhabitants.Easy to install. Only thing I would change is the stopper part has a long stem, sticks out a bit longer than I'd like. Considering taking a hacksaw to it at some point.

Effective door stop
This items works as promised. I installed it myself, and I'm not particularly handy. I pulled out the door's hinge pin, slipped on the Hinge Pin Door Stop, and re-inserted the pin. I think I might have spent 5 minutes doing this job--very satisfying to get something done so quickly and have to work so well.It is ridiculously easy to adjust the twisty part of the door stop to set the door to open exactly as far as I want it to go without allowing it to slam into the new Ikea wardrobe I just put behind my bedroom door.

Works as advertised, low profile, but I wish ...
Works as advertised, low profile, but I wish the plastic pads were larger, as they are beginning to create a small dent in thin plywood of the door; I will have to add extra padding; It came with additional washer, which was necessary for a smaller pin that my closet door has.
