the braided leather band is affixed with some weak glue, a cheap aspect of an otherwise beautiful item. I'd prefer no glue at all, perhaps using the Barmah logo as a pin (the logo clip came off easily when pulled, and part of the band came unglued simultaneously). If this hat were $25 cheaper, or from China, I would expect something like this. But this hat is quite pricey and made in the USA, so I'm little disappointed. However, with the canvas storage bag, sizing bands, and otherwise high quality, it is still a good value and I would recommend. The leather is flawless, soft, and has that smell you only get with genuine full grain. The fit was exactly as described. Overall a great buy, but don't think you can take off that braid without leaving glue behind,as with many of the cheaper hats on here. The band looks good though, so why take it off anyway? I was glad the logo came off easily, tbh. I'd have left it if it were silvery metal.

My husband wanted to replace the one he had and loves the hat he had to send this back it was to small but ordered another and fits great.

I have wore this exact hat for the last 11 years . This replacement was right on the money. The size style and standards set with my older model were fulled plus a new upgrade of a hatband the original did not have .

The quality of the hat is great. It came in good condition without creases and blemishes. Seems to run a little (maybe half a size) big, but I also ordered a bigger size because I was afraid it would be small. Comes with a kit to size down the hat, so it’s definitely best to buy a larger size. My boyfriend loved the hat!

I own 9 hats total, various styles and brands. Three of my hats are Barmah's and i like the Barmah's much more than the others. I bought this hat about 7 months ago and it's my first choice when i go out. My size is a 22 3/4 and this large fits me perfectly. I love the style of the hat, this is not a cowboy hat, more of a down under Aussie look. It seems to be very well made and is nice thick rugged leather but smooth enough to be worn for any occasion. I Love how it retains its shape, i never have to worry about bending the rim just right. I love this hat and i still get compliments almost every time i wear it. Whenever i put this hat on it's almost like i've worn it my whole life. No joke, this hat rocks.

This is a nice looking, well made hat. My only complaint is that I wish the brim were a bit more shapable. I know that goes against the fold up qualities, but still a negative for me. At any rate, this is a great hat for sunny weather. No regrets.

Hat size with an accuracy consistent with the stated size to the grid size. Chl - size 56 cm hat looks wonderful and now spring with black leather jackets and jeans , but I think in the summer and will be saved from the heat, from hats wide brim that will protect your skin from scorching . My wife with this cowboy hat looks great! We are very happy with your purchase !

I already have a Barmah hat that I love (made in Australia from pigskin), but it's suede and not well suited for the rain. I bought this one to use when it rains. I was a bit bummed to find that the leather used to make this hat is about half the weight of the one used to make my other hat, so it doesn't feel near as sturdy. I did treat it with mink oil and it's held up to some light rain just fine - I haven't yet tried in one our steady rains. But, when I tested it after treating it with mink oil, I found the black die readily came off on my hand, even though it had not done so when treating it. So, I'm a bit concerned that a long walk in steady rain will leave my face looking like a horror picture. If I find this does not happen, I'll add a star. The fit is pretty close to my other hat, just a tiny bit more snug. It does hold it's shape like my other hat.
