VelbonQB-3 Quick Shoe

Lost my original from a QND-33Q - expensive mistake. Velbon website useless for finding parts (like most companies they don't seem to think about when you need to get a replacement part). So needed to purchase a replacement but without a part number it can be very hit and miss getting the right one. This plate is the same as used on the QND-33Q. Frankly its a lot of money for a shaped bit of plastic mould with a screw in - but I suspect that's more to do with the manufacturer than any supplier. This was the cheapest supplier I could find that appeared to have the 'right' part.One point I do find with these is that they too easily spin round because there is no locking/stabilising pin so the camera can spin round if you don't really tighten the screw. Again that's the manufacturer but it seems many camera mounts have this problem.Delivery - bit sluggish but I suspect that's a royal mail issue.

I bought a couple of these to fit my Velbon Ultra Maxi L Tripod. My brother occasionally borrows my tripod, and is forever losing the quick-release plates. Now he has his, and I have mine, and one spare, so I'm never left unable to use my tripod!

Probably overkill for most but worth having if when out and about with more than one camera.Just makes things a bit quicker for me.
