As others have said this belt is nowhere near 61 inches. But as big as it is, it should fit around your giant gut even with a full fluffy santa coat. I use it for my pirate outfit and its quite nice as far as size goes.As far as build quality is concerned, even at a low price this is a poor bargain. This sucker is so cheap I feel like its going to fall apart at any given instant. It certainly wont last for a night of Halloween and it darn sure wont hold up any of my pirate accessories, even the cheap plastic pistol I carry. This more for display than anything else. For a mannequin in a costume shop it would be fine. For walking around or sitting with kids all day long I think its a very poor choice. Gold grommets fall off with no stress on them. Everything feels flimsy and super cheap, even worse than the price would indicate.No good for active pirates or santas in my opinion. Just a display piece.

Worked for the purpose, but I only needed it for one night. It was too small for a fat guy like me (Which is weird, since it's a Santa belt) and I had to create my own hole with scissors.Like I said, it was ruined after one night but I don't care since I just needed it for a halloween costume.

The belt received appears to be as advertised, but it would have been nice to have a belt loop to hold the excess part.

it was fine for husband as he played Santa at local visitor center. Only change would be better buckle or longer clasp

In the end, we couldn't use it because any padding more than 2 pillows was uncomfortable to wear. If the seller offers smaller sizes, we would consider buying one again.

This worked great for our Buddy the Elf costume. The belt is HUGE, but it wasn't a problem....one size fits all.
