Good, gentle ear cleaning solution.
This is a good product. My dog's ears are sensitive and this didn't cause any inflammation or discomfort (beyond the usual of putting liquid in his ears). The solution was gentle and helped loosen the gunk in his ears and clean them out. It also did not dry out his ears like some of the alcohol-based solutions do.It sounds silly, but it would have gotten 5 stars if the bottle cap was designed differently, Because the liquid is being applied into an ear canal, there should be some way to direct the flow. With the current bottle cap, there is no way to direct the flow and the process a lot more messy than it needed to be. Ultimately, I had to soak a cotton ball with the ear cleaner and put the solution soaked cotton ball in my dog's ears. But, again, the actual solution is gentle and helps get rid of any dirt or build-up in your dog's ears.

Just used it for the first time. I have no idea yet about the effectiveness of this solution, but my first impression was that the cap of the bottle makes it very difficult to get into a small dog's ears. I expected a smaller hole with a more precise tip. I think more fell out on the towel than got into the ear.Time will tell how well it works, but as of now, the applicator does not.

It cleans the ear nicely. It's an alternative to the Pet King Brands ear cleaner. I didn't do a thorough research and had not known that Pet King Brands Otic Solution stings. My dogs refused to have it dropped in their ears, but I had thought they didn't like the solution dropped in their ears. It's because it literally burns. Pet King Brands is a great product. I just don't want to use something that hurts them. This does it's job and smells great although I'm not sure about getting rid of the yeast smell in their ears. It smells great when it's used, but I don't think the nice smell lasts long. I still would buy this product again.

I received a $3 coupon for this and I think it's a fantastic product. My teenage standard poodle with fold over ears and hair that grows in the canal has had horrible ear infections since puppyhood. I have tried many different products. Malacetic is a great product and was my go-to product to clear the nasty infections but the "apricot" smell is so strong and lasts on my fingers for hours after cleaning, it can also be irritating as it's vinegar and boric acid and my dog shakes his head a lot with it. Nevertheless, it works great and I've used it with great results for a few years.BVH Pet Care product works equally as well but has the advantage of NO SMELL and it does not seem to irritate my dog!! He had stinky ears with the typical black gooey gunk the other day, I used it, wiped the outer ears with a paper towel, let him shake his head and could barely smell the yeasty infection when it dried. I used it again the next day and used some q tips and cotton pads to really get into it and there was hardly anything there, just a little bit of brown on the cotton pads. Today is day 3 and I am repeating the process and they are clean! Will do this a few more days to make sure it's gone and then will use it every week or 2 to prevent future infections. If you have a dog with this issue, it's worth a try.

Now this ear cleaner is going to cost me lots of money at the vet and my poor golden is miserable
I followed the instructions on the bottle "apply generously to the ear canal" and it actually gave my dog an ear infection. Now this ear cleaner is going to cost me lots of money at the vet and my poor golden is miserable.

BVH Dog Ear Cleaner - Made in USA
I have been using this ear cleaner on our Lab and Golden Retrievers for several weeks now and it really seems to be doing a very good job for their regular routine ear hygiene. Over the past 15-years I have used several different brands of the expensive prescription ear cleaner/otic solutions our vet sells as well as the over the counter ear cleaning solutions from our local PETCO and PetSmart stores, but so far I like this BVH product the best out of all of them. Used along with a round cotton cosmetic pad it is excellent for removing the dirt and grime that accumulates in our dog's floppy ears, especially the Golden's, without irritating the sensitive inner surface like some of the other solutions did. It also works well as a flush for the ear canal, removing excess wax and maintaining the correct Ph balance which in turn helps keep yeast and ear mites in check. This ear cleaner solution has a pleasant odor and seems to dry more thoroughly so the hair below the ears doesn’t have that damp, sticky feel for days like it did after cleaning with some of the other solutions. Overall, I've been very pleased with this ear cleaning solution and the fact that it is made in the USA is a huge plus for me when it comes to pet care products, so I will definitely purchase this again.

He absolutely hated his ears being even touched after using the vet ...
I am actually impressed with this quite a bit!I have a larger dog. He has had wax build up during the winter months the past 2 years. He absolutely hated his ears being even touched after using the vet prescribed cleaning solution. He would not let me clean his ears even with a qtip. I had my doubt that this could ever work in my case, but I was surprised by how quickly he changed his attitude about his ears being cleaned with this! Maybe the stuff from the vet burned or something. This he became quickly comfortable with and now I am even able to use a qtip again. His ears are now nice and clean! He has sensitive skin too and this seams to have even helped the dryness of his ears. My method of use was soaking a paper towel with some of this solution and then start to wipe his ears. Then I would squeeze the paper towel so that some would drip into this ear canal. I would then massage the ear and lather it in the best I could. My dog would shake his head a little afterwards. A few days of this and he was happily letting me clean his ear with a qtip again even (with a treat as a reward too) and now his ears are looking really clean!
