American Weigh Scale Disc-55 Digital Pocket Scale, Black, 55 X 0.01 G

I had the mini matchbox scale at first from AWS, 2 of them in fact since I lost the first one, loved both. Then I got 2 of the ashtray ones and LOVED them, my favorite one so far.Then after getting rid of my last ashtray version I purchased this thinking.. I loved all my other AWS, I trust this company, the other reviews were just vendor problems, so why not? I got the scale..The plastic lid did not fit AT all.Thankfully it was a technically easy fix, I had to take a razor blade and shave off the plastic around the inner lip to make it fit in the groove to stay in, it's hardly a good fit but it fits in snug and doesn't come off that easy.But on top of that the scale doesn't weigh right all the time, sometimes if you take whatever you're weighing off, it'll show 0.02- or 0.02-0.04 until you tare it and reweigh it maybe once or twice and then it works. I may just need to get a calibration weight and calibrate it to fix that problem though. WhichI figured it'd be better to use it as I have it than to return it though as the price of the shipping outweighs the worth of the scale.If you're set on this scale, get it but we wary. AWS is amazing but this scale, at least the one I got is kinda iffy. I'd go for the 'American Weigh Scale AT-100 Ashtray Scale, Black, 100 X 0.01 G' all day every day. Kind of sucked when I realized this was a 55 x 0.01 and required a 50g weight to calibrate it. I prefer the 100 x 0.01 and already have a 100g weight.

the scale was nice but i orded the aws 50 55gx0.01 no the aws 500 100x0.1g .and i got it from ez sell and now im trying a savings lets hope i get the right one....
