Prepare to Be Challenged (In a Good Way)
Trent Selbrede has a very refreshing style of writing that is conversational, honest, bold and challenging. You can tell that this subject is passionate to him and his message is very thought provoking and unique. While I can't say I agreed with everything he wrote in regards to the topic of empathy, his words definitely confronted some beliefs that I previously held. Definitely worth the read.

The Mentor I Didn’t Expect
My boss recommended this book because my writing is fairly mediocre. So, I got it on kindle and read through it in an hour. It would have taken less time but I kept getting up for chocolate and pizza. If you’re already writing for a living then you’re not going to like this book. You’ll snobbishly notice the typo’s and balk at the improper formatting. If you’re looking to wipe the floor with the those previously mentioned then I’d highly suggest this book.But... I just finished reading it, why trust me?The person who recommended this book to me runs with these guidelines in everything our company writes, emails, articles and social posts. People are always interested in what or company writes, and we’ve also generated several million dollars in income. (But that’s not important, right?)Anyways, thanks for the book. I’ll be referencing these tips and guides next time I sit down to write emails and articles.PeaceThe last chapter made me wake the baby from laughing, well done.

Hilarious and Informative
If you are super conservative then this book is not for you. However if you are fun loving, and reading curse words in books gives you a laugh then please purchase. Not only is this book super informative it is hilariously written. The text really gets the point across and makes this a super easy read. And I am a person who is really into structure, and down right boring professionalism. But this book is super fun. I’m not done reading it but I had to come and wrote a review. The information given in my opinion will be super helpful and will improve your writing and copywriting. The book really takes you from mundane, professional copywriting to professional, fun, and engaging copywriting. If you can look past typos, and the such and grasp the point the material won’t be lost on you. Don’t be so caught up in the delivery that you completely miss the message. If you want to take your copywriting technique to a new level then I highly recommend this book.I for one enjoy the fact that the book has no page numbers.

A steel rule, a box cutter, and a credit card...
Because that’s what you’re gonna need when you get this book. The first 2 because you’re going to want to put ‘This book…’ down on a solid surface, lay the steel rule 3mm to the right of the binding, sink the blade deep into the paper, and then cut through from cover to cover…Why?Because you’ll be wanting to pin every single page to your eye-board (that one on the wall where you post your go-to tips and tricks), so you can glance at it every time you need inspiration without leaving your keyboard. Is it that good?‘This book…’ is great. It’s short enough to be read in a single session, and just long enough to grasp the key facts to teach you to write better.Admittedly, it’s no Strunk & White, but it’s horses-for-courses; and Neville Medhora knows exactly that. He knows his subject, he imparts his knowledge, and he writes it in an easy to understand manner.Sure, I do have some slight issues with the book but, unlike other books covering similar topics, none of these detract from the content, the message, or the way it’s portrayed. Why the credit card?To get another copy, of course; you need to stretch your legs sometimes.

A self help book like no other
Neville's writing is addictive. He writes in an unapologetic way, saying things that we all want to say, wonder or want to ask about. The result is very practical, no fuss, but highly effective copywriting tips packed in this small but punchy book. I'm sure all of us want others just to get to the point and wish to say what we really mean faster and truer, to make more money with every word we say or write. This book teaches you all that. I just finished reading the book, so I'm yet to apply the tips from this book, but having written many sales emails and speeches, I realize now the wrong/ineffective things I had done and must correct to be a much more effective communicator, which is essentially a persuasive one. Neville's style of communicating is conversational and simplistic. I like that he writes the way he would read copy: me no like, me bored, me no understand; it makes his teaching easy to understand, leaving no room for confusion. Highly recommended for everyone who loves to write, or has any reason to write or speak for their livelihood (and that includes asking for anything from another person). disappointing
I'm a big Neville Medhora fan, I read all his newsletters and listen to his podcast. This book was really disappointing because there's absolutely no information in there... or is it just me who didn't understand the message? The printing quality is terrible, pages are falling out as they are not stitched or glued together properly. Of course this is not the authors fault but I'm giving my honest review.I bought it to support Neville Medhora because like I mentioned I'm a fan and I really think his work is great... but this book is not worth £1 and I would rather give a pound to charity than getting this bad experience :(

Do not buy. It adds no value.
This should not be considered a book, what a stretch, I guess is time for me to write something as well.Unprofessional, immature, misogynistic, trivial advice, terrible design: fonts, stock pictures, etc. Some of the great commentary "those gross stretchmarks", "let's think about the ideal length of a woman's skirt", etc. There is absolutely nothing in this 'advice' I could actually use, I returned it right away.

An easy read but....
Although the overall content of the book was good, I had a few minor issues. There were spelling and grammatical errors. Not a dealbreaker, but not ideal in a book about 'writing better'.The comments about "gross stretchmarks" and the ideal length of a woman's skirt were totally unnecessary and disappointing. In terms of content, a very easy read with some good back-to-basics tips.

Second-rate advice from an unintelligent misogynist.
What a delightful pamphlet on how to assume all copywriters are men, make misogynist slurs and display your incapabilities in book form.Buried beneath the bigotry, I did manage to find one or two useful nuggets of information - but luckily these were really obvious things I already knew, so no harm done there.Bonuses:- It took me approximately 35 minutes to read, so I didn't waste too much of my life on the only mildly useful ravings of a self-obsessed privileged man.- It reinstated some of the self confidence in my writing that had been ebbing away, by way of providing a good comparison.

Great Little Book that is Already Bringing Me Benefits
In this book, Neville Medhora has created one of the best, most enjoyable non-fiction books I've read. This book is short - only about 30 pages. But inside you will find some incredibly simple and useful advice to help you write sales copy in a compelling way. I used Medhora's techniques straight away which led instantly to me getting some new clients. I've also used his principles in writing my blog and even emails at work. His Kopywriting Kourse costs hundreds of dollars, but this book cost me £2.39 and has already paid itself back and then some.
