Nouske Apple iPad Retina Mini 1 2 3 Case with Smart Cover/Magnetic/Stand/Synthetic Leather Clear, Gold

Wow this case is not cheap looking or cheap feeling. The leather cover is not real leather (I'm ok with that) and you can't tell unless you handle it. It is soft though with a hard inside in order for the front cover to turn into a stand. The case snaps onto my iPad mini 3 and feels secure. The gold color is more of a light gold and there is the tiniest bit of shimmer and I do like how it feels when I hold onto my iPad. I'll update this review if the color starts rubbing off on the fake leather or if the leather starts wearing down. Right now I really like it and Id order it again. Also, I have a tempered glass screen protector on my iPad right now and the case is lipless, so it doesn't lift the corners of my screen protector up which I really love. Only thing I don't like is that when I hold the iPad up (with the front cover folded back) I can't securely hold the iPad because the front cover is slightly longer than the width of the iPad and there is a little bit of slip. My apple front cover did not do this. That also may explain why when I use the cover as a stand (while ipad is in landscape mode) it is not as upright as I would like it to be. It leans back a little too much, but for the price, not that big a deal.

I've had lots of covers for lots of Kindles, but this iPad is my first iPad. I was assuming that all covers had a front AND a back, and boy, was I wrong. So I had to send back a couple that were only for the back (when it's the screen that seems most vulnerable). Anyway, I finally hit on this one, and I have to agree with another reviewer who said this one was the best case he's ever had. My iPad is gold (so pretty!), and this case complements it very nicely. The front looks and feels like real leather (it's PU leather, which is fine with me), and the back is hard, translucent but colored plastic. You can see the apple and the iPad insignia through it. The back also has vents along the front side and bottom to dissipate heat produced when you keep the iPad on for a long time. (I didn't see any other cover that offered that.) Both front and back seem to offer pretty good protection against dropping, etc. The front also has three folds that allow you to prop the iPad up to read. One way has the iPad at a low angle, and the other way offers a higher angle. Both are good. The screen does have to be in landscape position to use the props, but that's o.k. with me.Short version: Beautiful case that matches the gold iPad and offers significant protection to both front and back. Highly recommended.

This is a very good substitute for the Apple branded one. The wake/sleep feature works perfectly. It had a pretty decent build quality given its price. The back is a hard see-through plastic with ventilation holes on one side of the back under the camera. The front cover is a nice felt-like feeling material that folds to form a stand on the back, which works perfectly. There are cut holes for the buttons, camera, headphone jack, and charging port. The speaker has perforations which lined up perfectly with each speaker holes. The downsides are minor. First, it seems a bit too heavy. I can handle the weight fine. But, it sacrifices the portability of it a bit. Secondly, mine cracked on one of the corners even though I've never dropped it or banged it. A small part of the corner is exposed now. But other than those, it protects the ipad fine from scratches, dust, etc.

While I was a little weary of the quality of the case (without the ability to hold it in my hands before purchasing it) I absolutely love it! I have an iPad mini and I use it to read books mostly, I was looking for a case that would mimic the Amazon kindle case where the front flap completely flips back like a book cover allowing for an easy and comfortable hold for the reader. I found exactly that in this case! It still is able to stand up on its own when I just want to be lazy and have it resting on my desk, etc, while not being too bulky for the other 98% of the time that I am holding it. The color is great and I love the gold mature look it gives me (since I also will be bringing it to grad school classes etc) I would recommend this case to anyone who is, in the least bit, considering it! :)

After reading all the positive reviews I decided this appeared to be the best price as well as best quality and I was right.The case, for starters, is a beautiful gold color. For a smart cover, it works brilliantly. The magnet holds perfectly and activates the auto-sleep function.My iPad Mini 2 (Retina) slid surprisingly easily into the holding case -- in fact, I did not even place it in. I kinda set it down and it just fit snugly. I tried to remove it but it appears to really be in there which is great. It makes me feel as though the iPad will really be protected although I haven't dropped it yet.Also, the case comes with a nifty and useful stylus as well as a free screen protector. Highly recommend!

It isn't anything too fancy, but it does the trick! Works as well as I expected with good back coverage and good feel. The sleep function works well. This seems to be as good as an Apple case in my opinion and much less expensive. The gold is pretty, not too shiny. It is limited in it's function as you can really only prop it one way, but that is by design. If you want a more mobile case I wouldn't go with this, but if you just need a quick and easy case this works well.

This is a pretty good case for what you pay. I bought mine in June 2015 and and am replacing it in Feb 2016. The plastic recently chipped off so now it falls out of the case constantly. If you want a case that will last longer than a 8 months, you should invest in a leather or higher quality case. For $12, this case was super cute and protected my iPad mini.

Love how slim and fitting this cover is. I'm not sure on the protective qualities, but haven't dropped it to find out yet. It seems to cover the corners well for little bumps. I recommend using the protective screen shield. All in all, looks great and is slick to use. I haven't had any problems with it going to sleep or "awake" when opening and closing the cover, this is a really nice feature with kids!
