This tool is perfect for smoothing the edges of glasses made from recycled wine bottles. It was easy to set up and appropriate grades of diamond sanding discs were part of the package. My only regret is that it cannot not be adapted for a diamond cone to smooth the inner edges of the glasses. I use a separate electric sander to do that.Otherwise, I love that it speeds up my finishing time on my glasses and provides a profession looking edge!!

It's a great product, easy to use, and you really can use it on the coffee table in your living room. But, what's a review without a slight complaint, right? I did have to dig up some of my own washers in order to mount the diamond wheels ... maybe a slight design change for the collar that the wheels mount on is in order.Besides that, I wish the instructions would have given more info on using the diamond paste. I could find instructions online, but not specifically for the parts that came with this kit.Now that I've figured out how to polish a couple of rocks, I do love it.

Excellent machine , supplied diamond plates cut very aggressive though, 1200 grit lap is very aggressive you should consider a foam backed sanding disc with your purchase, great seller solid machine

I'm a lampworker and bought this unit direct from the supplier to Amazon, sawthatrock. Had a nice chat with the owner and I must say the service was great, shipping was fast, saved a little bit by ordering direct and this was the exact tool that I needed in order to facet my lampwork beads. Although I have never used a grinder before, I was really impressed with the upgraded discs that come with this kit. I can see how the paper backed discs that are common for this Ameritool grinder would wear out quickly plus be a PITA to change during a project. The steel discs make this a snap!
