No surprises here- smells and tastes like light brown sugar- but dryer because of the way they process it.- a tasty addition to my coffee and oatmeal.Just cause it says raw/brown/etc- sugar is sugar is sugar- there’s no health food here.Bonus that 1 bag of this fits in an empty 12oz instant coffee jar.

I've switched to using this type of sugar in place of brown sugar in my dry rub for barbeque items such as spareribs and brisket. It's a bit course for use as in some dessert items but if I soak it first it can be used well. The flavor is really good and I think it is healthier than regular sugar, although the words "healthy" & "sugar" don't really belong in the same sentence. LolCheers!

I actually purchased this to make sugar scrub and not for consumption. For my scrub, I was primarily looking for a thicker granulated sugar to help with exfoliation. This was perfect! These crystals are pretty large, but they mixed well with my other ingredients. We were going for a summer vibe and the color of the sugar actually made the scrub look like sand which was so cute! The sugar made an excellent exfoliant, provides that initial roughness but dissolving quickly. I did end up using "regular" sugar in the scrub also only to achieve a thicker consistency with the oil.I do have some leftover and plan to use it in baking.

Larger crystals than your standard "raw sugar", these have a pronounced maltiness and molasses flavor, excellent for baked goods and coffee.
