Perfect for a beginners

I like the fact that this book is an easy read and perfect for private students who are serious about clarinet study.

I'm an absolute beginner and this book taught me a lot, but not a lot about how to actually PLAY the clarinet. The majority of the book talks about interesting things that every beginner should know about the clarinet. But for example, it only gives one fingering chart, for the G Scale. After that, you're immediately given exercises in other keys but with no fingering charts and no guidance on how to play the sharps and flats. Maybe a professional would read this book and easily criticize me because I just don't know any better, but based on other reviews here, I think my 2 star review is pretty accurate.

I'm really enjoying this book. Kinda bringing back memories of when I was in beginner band in Junior High school. And very informative.

What is in the book is fine, but cannot get the sound clips on my kindle,18 of them. and you need a fingering chart which can be purchased. A pity. I was making satisfactory progress, but as a completer beginner need the 'listening examples' and the 'highly recommended' fingering chart, before I begin playing any music, so only got as far as playing a single scale.

Good little book if you have absolutely no clue about clarinets. I was quite disappointed as it was not at all what we needed. If you are looking for a book that shows all the notes and finger positions - this is definitely not the one. If you are curious I am happy to send you this copy free of charge.

You would think you would get an instruction book with music and scales to play. This book is has information on the clarinet which is good ,however you will need to buy another book that has scales, fingering, and music to lean how to play the instrument. Maybe if you never touched a reed instrument this would be good information.

Pretty simple book. Looking forward to use it.
