We use this daily. Great must have piece of equipment for any process concerned about specific gravity. Works well. Needs to be handled carefully. It is a delicate piece of equipment.

Echoing the dissatisfaction other customers have mentioned about the glass tube. It was pitched to me by an anton paar salesman that this device is rugged. The glass tube shattered while I was measuring a sample. I did not even drop it. Also, as others have stated, they will not cover it, just offer you another one at a discounted rate. I truly think it is a racket to get you to keep buying them or upgrade to a snap 50 (which costs about $1000 more). Avoid this item, and company if you can.

Excellent tool. The tool is in use all day and works great.

We have gone through two of these now. The first one fell on it's side and broke the internal glass tube. our second one was dropped on the ground with their $100 "ruggedized case" and broke the same internal glass tube. They will not fix the unit, instead you have to send in the broken unit and they will sell you a discounted unit for $1600. >:(

Time saving and high quality

Same here with the tube breaking inside. We keep the new one in bubble wrap. More of a pain than the hydrometers we used. And filtering the beer to get an accurate reading takes forever.

I need this equipment but also need that it has a calibration certificate NIS, can you help me? It has add price?

This is a great piece of technology. I have used it several times and never had a problem. As with any expensive piece of equipment it has to be treated with care, you can't just throw it around. This Densitometer is essential for any distillery or winery! it has been indispensable! I will be recommending it to everyone I know in the industry!
