So far, So good
I received this capo yesterday and it works perfectly on my acoustic guitar. It is styled very much like the Kyser capos but cost about one third of what you'd pay for a Kyser. It is made of aluminum, NOT ABS plastic as another reviewer suggested. The spring is plenty strong enough to hold down all 6 strings with no problems. The rubber pad is flat and this capo works well on guitars with a flat fret board. I don't know how well it would work on a guitar with a curved radius fret board. I'm thinking it may not hold the high and low "E" strings down sufficiently to keep them from buzzing. I could be wrong. Keep in mind it is very important to fully depress the spring when moving the capo up or down the neck. Sliding it will cause wear on the rubber pad on any capo. The wound strings will cut into the rubber like a file if you slide it on the strings. I really haven't had it long enough to see if it will stand the test of time, but as the title of my review reads: "So far, So good" It's very reasonably priced and I'm very pleased with it. I rate it at 5 stars. It's well worth the money. It's very unlikely to break and if I find the rubber pad wears out prematurely, I will update my review.

the perfect capo... even my dog likes it
I use this capo mostly with my Seagull acoustic guitar but it works flawlessly on any type and size of guitar ive tried, including a lot of Ibanez models and some cheaper entry level guitars also, it is strong enough to avoid any buzzing even with thicker gauge strings. I prefer this style over the newer more sleek looking capos, those seem to not have the same spring strength that this one does, its a little harder to get on but once its on you can count on it keeping your strings down. even my dog likes it.

Fantastic!!
I'm pretty new at playing the guitar. I'm self-taught - which can be frustrating at times. I feel like I found a magical little tool when my capo arrived. FINALLY I can play notes I was having SUCH a difficult time hitting without a capo. Also, now that I'm getting more familiar with the instrument (due to playing it more after getting the capo), I've realized that I'm now actually able to hit some of the notes that were seemingly impossible to hit a few months ago. This capo was a WIN-WIN. Not only does it work amazingly well for a fanatic price; but also, it's arrival gave me the push I needed to continue learning and not allow my temporary frustration keep me from learning how to play this beautiful instrument. As a song writer, there is no better feeling than having lyrics and a melody in your head and FINALLY hearing it all come together while you sing the lyrics and play the melody to your own song. I've wanted to be able to do this on my own for years and I can say I've accomplished that dream. The capo was a big help in my learning process. :) Thanks a ton.

It's a capo
Not exactly easy to do one of these wrong. Solid construction, doesn't break from repeated shifting, tension holds damn well. My one complaint is you need to be mindful of the direction you set it. Always have the largest string nearest to the spring

Can't beat it for that price!
I actually got this for someone else but I ended up keeping this one and passing the other one along. I had a Kyser, and it was squeaky & hard to squeeze without getting major hand cramps (I'm a wuss, ok?) This one is nice and quiet, easy to use, and feels like just as good quality (maybe even better?) for a fraction of the price! What's not to love? The only (VERY) minor downside for me is that it's a bit wide for my guitar neck (I have a little Martin) but if you're playing a classical or anything with such a wide neck, this will fit it perfectly! I will definitely be recommending this to anyone looking for a good capo of this style, who doesn't want to spend a whole lot of money! Good investment, y'all! Also, I'd like to note that it did take extra long to get here, as it shipped from Hong Kong... but it was worth the extra wait for the price, and it actually got here a little sooner than I had anticipated, so no complaints for me!

Functional, durable, and extremely cheap!
I've had this capo for nearly a year and it is easily one of the best investments I've made while learning guitar. This is a must have for anyone who wants to expand their musical repertoire. My only complaint is that the clamping mechanism can be a bit strong, thus making it slightly difficult to get on and off. I would say that this is more than offset by the assurance that the capo will never slip and always has a firm pressure on the strings.

Acoustic Guitar Capo ($4.79)
Needless to say i was thrilled to find a capo for such a great price. The capo came in a small yellow envelope (one of those deals with the bubble lining) and I was so thrilled I skipped home, well not literally. The capo worked perfectly and my room was filled with the beautiful music of the gods. It's well crafted out of something like ABS plastic with a rubber mat on all parts which touch the guitar. However after about a week of playing with it, maybe an hour a day, it begin to need more and more adjustment to work. Now (about a month and a half later) I have to decided between the hi E or the low E because it refuses to hold both down at the same time. Upon further inspection of the capo the rubber buffer which is used to hold down the strings has been worn down and is now rather coarse. However i'm not too upset considering the price and how long it lasted. Overall I would rate this product fair, not bad, not great.Pros:--Cheap--Good constructionCons:--Pad wears down--Some unpadded area near guitar Final Remark: I would say this would be a great capo if you have never had a capo before and just wanted to try it out. Even though it did wear down it lasted over a month and costs about the same as a happy meal. At least now I know I want a nice capo. Thanks for reading, power to the consumer.
