I use this winch to snatch stuff up onto my utility trailer that doesn't have wheels. since my trailer has sides, I mouinted it on a 2 foot tall home-made stand on the long tongue so the cable can go out over the top of the sides and out the back. I had to make the stand because I couldn't find any online that were worth a flying eff that didn't cost a bloody fortune. in fact even if they were expensive they didn';t suit my purpose.So this winch worked well when dragging my not-working John Deere lawn tractor up into itm, so well in fact that it snatched it up onto my trailer despite the fact that I had the cutting deck completely lowered Because I couldn't make sense of the stupid indecipherable symbols on the deck height lever and chose the wrong one. I had to put this winch in low gear and then it did the job of getting the lowered deck with a little jostling up over the end of the trailer.Now I think I will design a graphic that I will send to John Deere to show them how intelligent people design an easily understandable graphic that everyone can understand. in a flash I have several ideas for a better one all ready the simplest of which is an arrow pointing down and one pointing up DUh!

I live in a raised house near the water. Made a small lift for myself to get groceries, and other semi heavy objects upstairs rather than carry them up. Attached the cargo bag and this is perfect.My son weighs 240 pounds and I was able to lift him off the ground with it, he wasn’t interested in becoming an Internet star.

If you need something for repetitive use I’m not sure if this will be for you. I use this for lowering and raising a 39 ft. Pipe tower and it’s all it can handle, very easy for cable to get damaged when raising the tower.

Had to make repairs to this winch to use it after first day of use, and it broke irreparably after third day of use. I used this winch on a log hauling arch to move logs around 1500lbs. In the first day of use the drum began rubbing against the sides of the winch. This was due to the main body being made of an extremely soft steel. I had to redrill and install a larger bolt, use different bushings, and install spacers to fix this. Another fix would have been to weld the bolt so it couldn’t spin in the winch frame. On the third day, the drum split, which at this point I had to purchase a better winch. This winch may work for a light duty application seeing little use, but for any real use anywhere near the rated capacity, purchase a better winch

would of been a great winch however the winch forward/ reverse seems pretty cheap. the locking mechanism is trash not the safest thing. the cable is spool very poor . not to impressed.

It was a lot stronger made than expected..a great surprise and should handle any job task...Tkanks...
