Normande Lighting JS1-650 64-Inch 3-Light Incandescent Trac-Tree Floor Lamp

I didn't come across a lot of the same issues others did. The shades need to be twisted into a lock position so that they don't become flimsy and fall off. I'm guessing many people who had issues are not doing that correctly. And as for the heat, as long as you use CFL bulbs, you shouldn't run into this issue at all. I would not use traditional incandescent though as I can see how it would heat up.The quality isn't bad either for the price. The bottom was quite sturdy and heavy and it would be difficult to knock over. My gripe however comes with the positioning of the lights. They can't be set like the image displayed. The light bulbs are simply too heavy and will push them down facing the floor. There is a workaround if you turn the bulbs to their side in which case the weight doesn't effect the lights and force them down. However, the product thus has to have the lights directly facing out so that you can not only see the bulb, but have a bright light staring you in the face. This makes the shades almost worthless.It's a decent light for the price and depending on the room you're using it in might work. But I don't think each light gives you enough flexibility to aim where you want and how you want. I'd probably stick with spending a few more dollars for a better brand that has that capability.

I think it's a little expensive for the price, but overall a decent product.It comes disassembled so you do need to spend about 10 mins to assemble the product before starting to use it but it's not a big deal. The lamp is pretty easy to assemble even for the mechanically challenged. The bulbs are not included with the lamp. It's a pretty decent lamp and I'm glad I bought it. Some people made a big deal out of the fact that the lamp "cap" is made out of cheap plastic. I don't see any problem with it. As long as you don't drop the lamp or anything, I don't see it as a problem at all. It looks great on my living room!

The build quality of the product is really good, the lamp stem is made of a good steel-like material (which makes the lamp somewhat heavy). The shades are made of plastic and it was little hard to fit them into the right position. There are markings on the plastic shades which I think is supposed to help lock the shade into the lamp socket but it wasn't quite working well on the first attempt. To make the lamp shade lock in, insert the shade into the socket (to establish the initial position, keep turning the shade until it naturally goes into the socket), push it in a little, and while you keep some in-ward pressure on it turn the shade to the left as far as you can (slowly). Although it doesn't generate any locking sound (a click-sound), it does lock itself in nicely. I tested it by pulling the shade gently out of the socket, it wasn't falling/coming out

This lamp was a perfect and cost-effective solution for my home office. It is basic, but it still looks nice. It was easy to assemble and is quite stable. Since some reviewers complanined about heat and smell, I decided to also order CFL bulbs  ]. The instructions with the lamp say to go no higher than a 40 watt bulb, since it would create a lot of heat. Well, the CFLs produce almost no heat and now I get a 60 watt equivialent output to boot! The only drawback is that the bulbs stick out a little beyond the plastic shade - not much of an issue though. With all 3 bulbs turned on, it is very bright! I usually have only one of them turned on. I would suggest NOT using the 100 Watt equivialent CFL bulbs - it would be MUCH too bright!

I purchased this as a gift for a relative to use in a home office/sitting area and they love it. While it is not the most flashy or high-end lamp it is solid and dependable and will blend with most decors. It was well packed and easy to assemble, a plus there. My only gripe is that you need to re-tighten the arm screws on the adjustable lamps as gravity will take its course and they tend to droop. Other than that, it does what the person needs it for, adjustable light source.

I am happy with the lamp itself. For the price, it seems to be decent quality and looks nice. Also arrived in good packaging that kept the lamp pretty protected. However, one of the screws on the lamp was stripped when I pulled it out of the box, which means that I cannot tighten the connection that allows for angle adjustment of one of the lights. The joint is so loose that it will only point downward and I have no way to fix it. Would have given it 5 stars if not for this problem.

Lots of Light. That is exactly what was needed in my sewing and craft area at home. With a ceiling fan and window, it seamed that the light just wasn't enough to sew by. After looking for several weeks, I settled on the Normande floor lamp. It is just exactly what I was looking for. Each of the lights operate independently and are adjustable. You can direct light where you need it. For fine crafts you need intense light and that is what you get. I used LED bulbs that are equivalent to 60 watt incandescent. The ability to direct lights means not having to use higher wattage bulbs. I will recommend this to all my friends..

This floor lamp is fantastic lots of light easy to put together and works wonderful. I love that i can move the lights to where i want them to be and still get a lot for my living room. Very versatile product because of the way the light move and are adjustable. I love that i can turn one or two or three on and dont have to have all of them on all the time.
