Red Devil 3986 Skeleton 9" Caulk Gun

Is not easy to handle if you have large hands. Didn't notice on the ad pic, but the trigger side is flat. No finger grips. Guess I will keep it versus sending it yet another subpar quality item back. May have some occasional use around the house but it's definitely not designed for the professional

I work in the glass and window industry every day and a decent caulking gun is a must. These have become my GoTo gun even though the shop has mush higher end guns to choose from. We push silicone and paintable caulk all day and this gun is super smooth for the money. I have bought two... one for the shop and one for my on site tool kit.

This caulk gun is not too light weight, not too heavy, it's just right. Works well with no fanfare, in other words it simply does the job of a caulk gun. Unlike some others I've tried, the 2 metal strips (1 on top 1 on bottom) does better at not bending and warping like the guns with only a bottom holder for the tube.

I wouldn't buy this if you plan to use it frequently, but I had just a small job to do and it worked well.

As someone who has used the squeeze tubes of caulk from the home improvement store without much success, I was very pleased with the job using the Red Devil 3986 Skeleton Caulk Gun and caulk. It was much much better.

You get what you pay for. I wanted a cheep caulk gun and that is what i got. Its a bare bones gun but works just fine. I just wish it had a puncture wire for opening tubes

It may not have the poker or cutter, but for basic round the house use on occasion, this is it. I bought one for work (auto repair) and one for home (u name it repair). One thing to note that I learned the long, slow and hard way: Anything that comes out of a caulk gun, can get hard before you even use it / it expires. That said, it will break any caulk gun you use.This one fits the bill and the price is right. Buy two, cuz when you need one in two places or two people doin it, or the first one breaks, they are cheap enough to get two. Thanks.

This is not the caulk gun to rule all caulk guns, but it is cheap and gets the job done just fine. It's a slightly flimsy thing, and the actual quality of the paint and materials it is made from actually made it appear used or stored for many years. It's not a beautiful sight to behold, but who really cares? It just does what it needs to do, and you'll not really have any issues with it I am sure. So yeah, it's nothing that will blow you away or make caulking this amazing experience... it just gets the job done, and that's all I cared about in this particular instance.

Use to buy the cheaper ones, that usually failed after a few times in use. Since buying these, have not had any failures. The exception, is when they seem to disappear around here, and no one seems to know how they got up and crept away. (I'm assuming wife has something to do with this ?) So, bought 2 this time to be ahead of the game.

I initially wrote a bad review about this gun because I did not know how to use it and consequently I jammed it up with my own ineptitude. Since then, I have given the gun a second look. Unjammed it and have started using it to caulk my bathroom and kitchen. The gun works fine and for the price I have found it to be an excellent purchase. I would recommend that the Red Devil manufacturers include rudimentary instructions with their caulking guns because not everyone is equally adept or knowledgeable about these things. A recommended purchase.

It's an OK caulking gun. I probably wouldn't buy it again, It's seems pretty flimsy. I would just have it for a once in awhile or an emergency doesn't seem like it would last long.
