GrisportMen's Dartmoor Gtx Low Rise Hiking Boots, Brown, 4 UK

Thought I would try the GTX, I have always used the standard Dartmoor in the past & have had no problems with regard to comfort. Worn these GTX for over a week now for walking the dog, about 8 miles a day. The problem is where the tounge meets the top of the boot it folds into very hard ridge's on both sides of the tounge, that puts pressure on the top of the foot & It hurts when walking. I will try for another week to see if it gets any better. If not I will have to return these boots and get the standard ones instead.UPDATE 15/11/2020 : I have now discovered that if you fold the tounge in a certain way you can stop the folds of material putting pressure on the top of the foot, thus alleviating any pain when walking. It's a bit of a palaver but worth it. However I will go back to the standard Dartmoor on my next purchase.

This is my third pair of these walking shoes and I have covered around 2000 miles in 3 years with each. They are comfortable straight from the box, though of course, this improves through use. They have not leaked or cracked (I do apply leather treatment periodically) and the laces last without replacement. My only slight niggle is that the inner lining wears through after 18 months or so and it would be nice to have a replacement available.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my feet several months ago and consequently made an extensive effort to find shoes which I could wear for my daily walks, which can be quite extensive. I wanted shoes that had a good grip, fit snuggly with adequate padding and were reasonably waterproof. I investigated so many different shoes and boots that I've lost count. Eventually I settled on these and they arrived the very next day. I put them on immediately and they feel so comfortable that I reckon I got exactly what I need. The shade of brown is a bit dark (it's almost black) and the laces are a bit garish, but I am delighted with how they feel.

I usually wear a UK size 8 EU 42 and as always the Grisport Dartmoor are a perfect fit. They are really comfy from the first time you wear them but if I had to choose between the Dartmoor and Dartmoor GTX then for me it would be the Dartmoor as I prefer the closed lacing loop on the last uppermost loop.

Good boots, well made. So far they are worth it but only had them for a few days.Before I put them on they looked like they were going to be too slim for my feet but they weren't at all. So far they have been very comfortable boots, I have worn them daily since receiving them with zero issues.Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality pair of walking/hiking boots.If anything changes my opinion I will update my review.

WOW, First I noticed dark lines along too of both shoes that where raised over tips of shoes. Then noticed in both pairs writing on insole worn away! Finally one had a split out side heel in sole/tread which would have let in water and soon split sole all the way across. I was intending to buy non GTX version too, but this totally put me to ff, they where like pre owned seconds!

Excellent quality not too heavy walking shoes - these shoes look very much like boots - especially the laces and how they tie. I am returning them only because at the time I ordered I didn't realise they also come in black - which is what I would prefer, these are a lovely dark brown. Can't comment on how waterproof they are but these boots can be oiled and have a gortex lining so I'm hoping they are very waterproof.

My 2nd pair of these. The last ones lasted 3 years doing 6 miles every day (mostly over grass). I think the important thing is to do the maintenance regularly. I try to dubbin them every week and they stay waterproof and in good condition. As usual they fit well straight out of the box and are comfortable. Definitely recommend.
